Fluitist van spaghettiwesterns als "The good, the bad and the ugly" overleden
De Italiaanse componist en muzikant Alessandro Alessandroni is op 92-jarige leeftijd overleden. Alessandroni werkte tijdens zijn carrière nauw samen met onder anderen Ennio Morricone en Nino Rota. Als fluitist is hij te horen op de soundtrack van onder meer "A fistful of dollars" en "The good, the bad and the ugly".

Ennio Morricone werfde Alessandroni aan in de jaren 60 om mee te werken aan de filmmuziek bij verschillende films van Sergio Leone. Als fluitist is Alessandroni te horen in "A fistful of dollars", "For a few dollars more", "Once upon a time in the west" en "The good, the bad and the ugly".
Alessandroni is ook te horen in verschillende films van Federico Fellini. Voor die films werkte hij samen met Nino Rota.
