A tower block in Edinburgh was evacuated on Friday night as bomb disposal crews investigated the discovery of "suspicious items".
Fidra Court, in the Muirhouse area of the city, was cordoned off by officers from Police Scotland at about 21:00 after a number of suspicious packages were reported.
Bomb disposal experts attended the scene, a police spokesman confirmed.
Most local residents were taken to a nearby cafe.
Residents were allowed back into their homes shortly after 03:00.
