Police hunt attacker who injured 14-year-old girl in Paisley

A 14-year-old girl has been injured in an attack as she made her way to school in Renfrewshire.

Police are searching for a man in his 20s after the assault on the girl in Paisley.

She was walking along a cycle path near the Maxwellton flats at about 8:30 on Wednesday when the man approached her.

The teenager was treated for minor injuries at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

The suspect is described as white with short, brown hair and was clean shaven with a long, thin face.

He was wearing a black rain jacket and blue jeans.
