Three men have been arrested after a car that failed to stop for police crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle in west Belfast.

Police said officers signalled for the car to stop on Kennedy Way, but instead it was driven the wrong way around a roundabout before crashing.

It happened at about 17:40 BST on Thursday.

A man and a woman who were travelling in the other car were treated for injuries not thought to be serious.

The three men who are being questioned are all aged 23.
