Two held over Armagh assault released on bail

Two men, aged 25 and 24, arrested over a serious assault in County Armagh at the weekend have been released on bail pending police inquiries.

A 20-year-old man was found with head and facial injuries after he was attacked in a field off the Monaghan Road, Milford, Armagh.

He was found at about 17:00 BST on Sunday, but police believe the assault happened very early that morning.

The man remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack.
