Rental homes: Concern over quality of housing

Rising house prices mean that the number of people living in privately-rented accommodation has doubled in the last decade, but there are growing concerns over the quality of housing that is being offered to tenants.

One group which is particularly affected is those studying at college or university, and the National Union of Students says that poor quality accommodation has become such an issue that it is calling on the government to overhaul the law.
