Biker dies in crash on Orkney's Churchill Barrier causeway

A 52-year-old man has died after his motorbike was involved in a crash with two vans on a causeway on Orkney.

The accident happened on the A961 number two Churchill Barrier at about 16:25 on Wednesday.

Police have appealed for witnesses and said all the vehicles were travelling north at the time.

The causeway was closed for almost eight hours for accident investigators to examine the scene.
