A biker has died after a collision with a car on the A9 in Perthshire which closed the road in both directions.

Police said the accident happened on the southbound carriageway of the Perth to Inverness road, near the House of Bruar, at about 11:45.

Cars were being diverted to Blair Atholl but that route was unsuitable for vans and lorries leading to long delays.

The road has since reopened.
