“This is to make you aware that the animal rights extremist group called Negotiation is Over (NIO) has urged its followers to target University students, infiltrate campuses and disrupt final exams this week. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is one of the institutions listed in the State-by-State Vivisectors Directory on the NIO’s website. The NIO openly supports violence against animal users(including persons using animals in research, education and farming) and has identified students as “soft targets”. A statement on their War on Vivisection Students page says:
“Students also need to understand that making the wrong choice will result in a lifetime of grief. Aspiring scientists envision curing cancer at the Mayo Clinic. We need to impart a new vision: car bombs, 24/7 security camera, embarrassing home demonstrations, threats, injuries and fear. It's an overwhelming problem and one that can really weigh on the hearts of those who care so much. We hear about the Michael Vick's of the world. We see puppy mills featured on television, and the news covers every disgusting case of animal abuse as it unfolds. Most people 'tsk tsk' and feel sad for a moment, but others roll up their sleeves and get busy to be part of the solution.
Quietly, behind the scenes, without any recognition, are legions of amazing people who are making a difference in ways large and small. They are the unsung heroes whose only 'thanks' is a sloppy, wet kiss from a rescued dog or the tiniest tail wag of a frightened, beaten-down canine soul who's learning to trust again. And that is enough to keep them going when their hearts get heavy.
It's easy to wonder how your small efforts can ever help curb the problems we face in sheltering. It's easy to be discouraged as you hold a trembling, sick, or injured animal in your arms and know how many more there are. It's devastating to know that an animal you could not save has been lost. It's easy to shed tears and be bogged down by the vast numbers who need your help.
And yet, despair can be erased in a moment as you watch a long-time shelter 'guest' go home, or an abused animal slowly learn to trust you. You can make a difference, one dog at a time.
Every animal advocate, every shelter or rescue worker, every person who donates, adopts, spays and neuters, or works diligently every day should read this story when the going gets tough. It's been rewritten in many forms, but originally was written by Loren Eiseley, an anthropologist.
One day a man was walking along a beach as the sun was rising on the day. As he walked along the shore, he noticed a small figure up ahead. As he got closer, he realized it was a small boy who was picking up objects from the sand and throwing them into the sea. As he approached, he said to the boy, "What are you doing?". The boy replied, "Throwing starfish into the ocean". "But why?" asked the astounded man. "Because the sun is coming up and they are stranded on the beach. The tide has gone out and if I don't help them, they will die". The man thought for a moment as he looked up and down the vast stretch of beach covered with hundreds of starfish. "Young man, don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and starfish along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!" At this, the boy bent down to pick up yet another starfish, walked to the water's edge and threw it in. "Made a difference to that one", he said.

Adopt, don't buy! Purchasing a dog feeds the demand for more to be produced. Adopt a shelter dog or one from a specific breed rescue group. They rock, and will be forever grateful!
Foster. Check with local shelters who always need foster homes for some special dogs. Read more here.
Donate. Local shelters are always strapped for funds. The more money they raise, the more pets they can save. Along with money, shelters appreciate items they need and most post a wish list on their websites.
Volunteer. Whether it's the down-and-dirty, wonderful work of walking dogs, joining a fund raising team, stuffing envelopes or planning events, shelters need you and your amazing talents!
Advocate. Become involved in animal legislation by writing to representatives and making your voice and the voice of helpless animals heard.

Big Pharma slaat om zich heen en in een wanhoopspoging om geen terrein te verliezen zijn sinds afgelopen weekend nieuwe regels in de EU van kracht die honderden natuurgeneesmiddelen verbieden.
De nieuwe wetgeving is erop gericht ‘consumenten te beschermen tegen potentieel schadelijke traditionele medicijnen’.
Note: alweer een wereld smoes !! van Natuurgeneesmiddelen zijn geen nadelen bekend in tegenstelling tot de gevaarlijke medicijnen die ons vaak worden voor geschreven.
Natuurgeneesmiddelen moeten nu worden geregistreerd. Producten moeten voldoen aan veiligheids- en kwaliteitsvoorschriften en moeten worden voorzien van informatie over de mogelijke bijwerkingen.
Natuurgeneeskundigen en producenten hebben aangegeven dat ze door de nieuwe regels wellicht failliet zullen gaan. Brits onderzoek uit 2009 toont aan dat tenminste een kwart van de volwassenen wel eens natuurlijke geneesmiddelen koopt. Meest gebruikt is het reeds geregistreerde echinacea, wat gebruikt wordt tegen verkoudheid; Sint-Janskruid, tegen depressie en angst en valeriaan, wat helpt tegen slapeloosheid.
Volgens Big Pharma hebben deze natuurlijke producten mogelijke bijwerkingen. Zo kan de anticonceptiepil stoppen met werken in combinatie met Sint-Janskruid en zo zou het natuurlijke afslankmiddel Herbal Flos Lonicerae twee maal de voorgeschreven dosis bevatten ‘van een verboden middel’. Wellicht probeert de natuur juist iets duidelijk te maken.
Tot op heden vielen natuurlijke geneesmiddelen altijd onder de Geneesmiddelenwet van 1968 toen nog maar weinig traditionele geneesmiddelen werden gebruikt en er nog maar weinig natuurgeneeskundigen werkzaam waren.
Vanaf nu moeten producenten aantonen dat hun producten voldoen aan strikte eisen en een duidelijk aangegeven dosis bevatten. Producten die reeds in de schappen staan mogen blijven staan tot de houdbaarheidsdatum verstreken is.
In Groot-Brittannië zijn inmiddels 211 verzoeken ingediend tot goedkeuring van een natuurlijk geneesmiddel. Inmiddels zijn 105 verzoeken gehonoreerd en de overige worden momenteel overwogen. Goedgekeurde natuurgeneesmiddelen krijgen een speciaal logo.
In tegenstelling van de dood van Saddam, dat met foto's en filmpjes breed werd uitgmeten in de media , heeft niemand nog een bewijs gezien van een dode Bin Laden...
Nu gaat het verhaal dat hij al was overleden aan een longziekte en zijn graf al klaar stond..
De buitenlandse coalitiemacht in het Midden-Oosten zou naar huis kunnen want Osama bin Laden is dood. Maar dat was hij toch al enige jaren?
De foto van Osama bin Laden die nu overal opduikt circuleert al enige tijd en is gefotoshopt, recent bewijsmateriaal is er niet en de vermeende terrorist zou een zeemansgraf krijgen om te voorkomen dat zijn begraafplaats een bedevaartsoord wordt.
In 2001 meldde Fox News dat Osama bin Laden een vredige dood zou zijn gestorven. De Pakistan Observer liet weten dat de Al Qaida-leider al enige tijd leed aan een gecompliceerde longaandoening waar hij in december 2001 in de omgeving van Tora Bora aan zou zijn bezweken.
Volgens de voormalig Pakistaanse politica Benazir Bhutto werd Osama bin Laden in 2007 vermoord. Zij voorkwam dat haar land in 1993 te boek kwam te staan als terroristenstaat door krachten die het democratische proces in de regio willen ondermijnen. Korte tijd na haar uitspraken werd Benazir Bhutto vermoord.
Vorige week nog werd gedreigd met een nucleaire aanslag mocht Osama bin Laden gepakt worden. Zo zou volgens WikiLeaks door Al Qaida ergens in Europa een nucleaire bom tot ontploffing worden gebracht mocht Osama in handen vallen van het Westen.
Het lijkt erop dat de Zionisten dit bericht hebben gefabriceerd en bewust rond deze tijd via Wikilieaks naar buiten hebben gebracht met als waarschuwing Osama niet te pakken vanwege hun belangen in het Midden-Oosten, waar ze de westerse troepen zeer goed kunnen gebruiken.
Training CIA
Kort na 9/11 publiceerde de BBC al artikelen over Osama bin Laden. Zo schreef de omroep kort na de aanslagen dat Bin Laden training zou hebben gekregen van de CIA. De informatie kwam van Midden-Oosten correspondent Hazhir Teimourian. In 2004 schreef de BBC een artikel over de herkomst en banden van Al Qaida. Tijdens de anti-Sovjet jihad werden Bin Laden en zijn troepen gefinancierd door de Amerikanen en de Saoedi’s. Ook komt het aspect weer naar voren dat Osama training kreeg van de CIA.
Volgens het Iraanse Press TV stelt FBI-vertaalster Sibel Edmonds dat de Verenigde Staten nauw samenwerken met de Taliban en Al Qaida om hun doelen in Centraal-Azië na te streven. Edmonds werd vervolgens ontslagen bij de FBI omdat ze 'gevoelige informatie had onthuld'.
Daarnaast zijn de Bush en Bin Laden families zakenpartners binnen de Carlyle Group. Ze maakten samen de video met de nep-Osama die de verklaring aflegde verantwoordelijk te zijn voor 9/11 (zie video onder). Overigens wordt Bin Laden op de website van de FBI niet eens gezocht voor 9/11.
De Amerikaanse Carlyle Group voorziet de coalitiemacht in het Midden-Oosten van wapens. De groep wordt geleid door een aantal voormalige leden van de Amerikaanse regering en voormalige werknemers van inlichtingendiensten. Ook bekleden diverse andere prominente voormalige politici functies binnen de organisatie, zoals John Major, de voormalige Britse minister-president en George Bush senior, voormalig CIA-directeur en voormalig president van de Verenigde Staten.

De foto die nu massaal op internet opduikt en die gebruikt wordt als bewijsmateriaal is al oud. Het gaat om een slecht gefotoshopte foto die in 2010 op de website a-w-i-p.com verscheen. Zie ook het volgende artikel op Veteranstoday over het feit dat de bevolking al jaren misleid wordt omdat Osama bin Laden al lang dood is.
En natuurlijk krijgt Osama nu een zeemansgraf zodat niemand kan zien waar hij begraven wordt of het stoffelijk overschot kan vinden voor nader onderzoek. Onder het voorwendsel dat de plaats waar Osama wordt begraven geen bedevaartsoord wordt krijgt hij nu een zeemansgraf zodat het bewijsmateriaal - als dat er al is - kan worden verdoezeld.
Voor president Obama komt dit bericht goed uit, gezien de verkiezingen volgend jaar. We kunnen de zaak voorts van twee kanten bekijken. Aan de ene kant is de dood van Osama bin Laden geen nieuws omdat de man al lang overleden is en er 10 jaar lang geen nieuw echt beeldmateriaal is opgedoken. Geruchten deden al enige jaren de ronde dat Osama ergens in een vriezer werd bewaard en dat gewacht werd op deze dag.
Aan de andere kant is het een dooddoener voor de ‘war on terror’ en worden de plannen van de Illuminati gedwarsboomd nu hun ‘opper-terrorist’ gepakt is.
Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader.

Bin Laden, according to the source, was suffering from a serious lung complication and succumbed to the disease in mid-December, in the vicinity of the Tora Bora mountains. The source claimed that bin Laden was laid to rest honorably in his last abode and his grave was made as per his Wahabi belief.
About 30 close associates of bin Laden in Al Qaeda, including his most trusted and personal bodyguards, his family members and some "Taliban friends," attended the funeral rites. A volley of bullets was also fired to pay final tribute to the "great leader."
The Taliban source who claims to have seen bin Laden's face before burial said "he looked pale ... but calm, relaxed and confident."
Asked whether bin Laden had any feelings of remorse before death, the source vehemently said "no." Instead, he said, bin Laden was proud that he succeeded in his mission of igniting awareness amongst Muslims about hegemonistic designs and conspiracies of "pagans" against Islam. Bin Laden, he said, held the view that the sacrifice of a few hundred people in Afghanistan was nothing, as those who laid their lives in creating an atmosphere of resistance will be adequately rewarded by Almighty Allah.

...BEATRIZ MENCHEN, vom spanischen Tierschutzverein LA VOZ ANIMAL Madrid ist am 26.04.2011 vor ihrem Tierheim in Getafe in einen HUNGERSTREIK getreten, um gegen die unerträgliche Situation für die Tiere in Spanien zu demonstrieren und ein Zeichen zu setzen.
Am 26.4.fand zudem eine Demonstration der Tierschutzvereine Madrids und deren Dachorganisation FAPAM statt, um Beatriz Anliegen zu unterstützen.
Auch wir müssen diesen Kampf unterstützen, um ein Zeichen gegen das unendliche Tierleid und die unzähligen Tötungen in Spanien zu setzen.
Beatriz ist ein Mensch, der nicht gerne um Hilfe bittet. So mussten wir in der Vergangenheit immer wieder feststellen, dass ihre Hilferufe uns oft sehr spät erreichten. Sie ist eine Kämpferin, die versucht ihre Probleme selbst zu lösen. Doch diesmal benötigt sie dringend unsere Hilfe!
Sie hat daher einen Brief verfasst, den wir im Original unter Hilfe fuer Beatriz eingestellt haben.
Wir möchten hier auf die Schnelle - denn die Zeit drängt - nur eine kurze Zusammenfassung des Textes wieder geben:
Beatriz bedankt sich bei allen, die sie in der Vergangenheit unterstützt haben und weist darauf hin, dass der Tierschutz in Spanien den Berg runter geht. Es wird eine neue Situation geben und viele Tiere werden getötet werden, wenn sich nichts ändert und es dabei bleibt. Wenn ihr - wie geplant - das Tierheim PARLA abgenommen wird, steht ein Desaster bevor. Sie ist darüber sehr verzweifelt und kämpft für ihre Tiere.
14 Jahre lang hat sie alles für die Tiere von PARLA getan und sie nach ihren Möglichkeiten auch medizinisch versorgen lassen.In all den Jahren konnten 3162 Tiere durch Beatriz und LaVozAnimal gerettet werden und fanden ein neues Zuhause bei lieben Familien. Für lediglich 52 Tiere (1,39% in 14 Jahren) war keine Hilfe mehr möglich und sie mußten in der Tierklinik eingeschläfert werden.
Die Gemeinde hat nun aus rein finanziellen Gründen beschlossen, dass eine Schädlingsbekämfungsfirma das Tierheim PARLA übernimmt. Sollte das jetzt passieren, so ist damit zu rechnen, dass dies genau so endet, wie es in Bea`s Tierheim GETAFE im letzten Jahr zuging, als man es ihr vorübergehend wegnahm und es einer Schädlingsbekämpfungsfirma übergab. In GETAFE brachte diese Firma es fertig auf eine Tötungsrate von über 66,66 % INNERHALB EINES HALBEN JAHRES !!!!!!!!! zu kommen. Das hieß, NUR EIN DRITTEL aller aufgenommenen Hunde und Katzen überlebten!!!
(und man kann sicher sein, dass dafür keine medizinische Indikation vor lag - ist unsere Anmerkung dazu).
Beatriz kann und will dies für ihre Schützlinge nicht zulassen. Sie ist tief verzweifelt und weiß keine andere Lösung mehr als mit ihrem unbefristeten Hungerstreik für die hilflosen Tiere zu kämpfen.
Sie möchte ALLE ihre Schützlinge retten. Sie bittet uns für ihre Aufgabe und die Tiere in Not zu beten!!!
Beatriz verspricht, dass sie uns auf dem Laufenden halten wird und erforderliche Informationen an uns weiter gibt, damit wir sie ggf. sinnvoll unterstützen können.
Zunächst bittet sie uns inständig SOFORT den unten stehenden Brief an alle zuständigen Politiker, zunächst jedoch an den Bürgermeister, zu schicken. Sie wird zu gegebener Zeit informieren an wen wir ihn noch richten sollen.

Das Internet ist eine starke Waffe, denn nur so konnten wir schnell von den Problemen der spanischen Tierschützer erfahren und können schnell handeln.
Bitte beteiligt Euch an dieser Aktion, denn es geht nicht nur um die Tiere aus PARLA, sondern generell um die Einstellung der spanischen Behörden zu Tierschutz! Das Problem betrifft nicht nur PARLA, sondern fast alle spanischen Tierheime.
Tierfreunde - lehnt Euch gemeinsam mit der zierlichen Tierheimleiterin Beatriz auf gegen das sinnlose Abschlachten und fordert das Recht ein, dass die Tiere selbst nicht fordern können. Gegen zu viele Tiere auf den Straßen hilft nur gute Tierschutzarbeit, Aufklärung und Kastrationsaktionen!

BEATRIZ MENCHEN of the Spanish animal rights group LA VOZ ANIMAL, Madrid, has started a hunger strike in front of her animal shelter, Getafe, on 26/04/2011. By doing so she wants to protest against the unbearable situation of the animals in Spain and underline the necessity of her work. Furthermore, there was a large protest of the animal rights groups of Madrid and their head organisation FAPAM to support Beatriz‘ case.
Now it is our turn to show our support for this case and make a point against the infinite suffering of animals and endless killing in Spain
Beatriz is a woman who does not like to ask for help. In recent years we experienced again and again that her calls for help often reached us very late. She is a fighter trying to solve the problems herself. However, this time she really needs our help! Therefore she set up a letter which we only summarised due to the shortage of time: Beatriz says thank you to all people who have supported her in the past. She clearly points out that animal protection in Spain goes down the hill. There will be a whole new situation in regard of this topic where numerous animals will be killed. When the authorities, as they have indicated, take the shelter PARLA away from her there will be a disaster. Beatriz is really desperate and fights with everything she has for the animals. For fourteen years she has done everything for the animals of PARLA and organised as far as her abilities go veterinary treatment. Over the years Beatriz and La Voz Animal were able to save 3162 animals and rehome them to loving families. For only 52 animals (that is 1.39% in 14 years!) every help came too late and they had to be put down in a veterinary clinic. The local council has now decided for financial reasons to give the shelter PARLA to a pest control company. If that should happen it is to expect that the end of it would be quite similar to Beatriz‘ shelter GETAFE last year. This shelter had been temporarily in the hands of a pest control company as well and the company managed to get the death rate up to 66.66% in only half a year! This means that ONLY A THIRD of all sheltered cats and dogs survived! (no veterinary necessity for sure – our comment to that) Beatriz cannot and does not want to let this happen to her animals. She is deeply despaired and cannot see any other way than to fight for these helpless animals in an unlimited hunger strike. She wants to save ALL her animals and therefore asks us to pray for her task and the poor animals! Beatriz promises to stay in touch and provide all news and information to us to support her in a strong and sensible way. However, first of all she pleads us to send the letter underneath IMMEDIATELY to all the responsible politicians. For a start this would be the lord mayor and a list of all the others will follow shortly. Beatriz says thank you to all supporters in her desperate fight for the animals. Me dirijo a usted porque he tenido conocimiento del cambio de gestión de la perrera de Getafe. Un cambio absolutamente radical ya que ha pasado de una gestión de 14 ańos con un 1,39% de sacrificios, a una gestión que en seis meses lleva un 66,66% de sacrificios, con un presupuesto superior.
Creo que los Ayuntamiento deben seguir la voluntad de sus ciudadanos y de la sociedad en general y, en este caso, los ciudadanos quieren una gestión que opte por la adopción de los animales abandonados y no por su sacrificio indiscriminado, una gestión de protección animal, en definitiva NO quieren una perrera mata perros.
Un Ayuntamiento que, hasta el momento, ha podido ser ejemplo de cómo se debe gestionar el dinero público en relación con el tema que nos ocupa, ha dejado de lado algo que hacía bien y ha pasado a adjudicar un servicio tan necesario y claramente indicativo del desarrollo de una población a una empresa que, día a día, semana a semana, mancha de sangre el resto de decisiones que pueda tomar.

ich wende mich an Sie, nachdem ich vom Leitungswechsel der Perrera von Getafe Kenntnis erhalten habe. Ein unglaublich radikaler Wechsel, führt man sich vor Augen, dass nach 14 Jahren Leitung der Perrera mit einem Anteil von 1,39% getöteten Tieren der Weg unter der neuen Leitung innerhalb von sechs Monaten zu einem Anteil von 66,66% getöteten Tieren führen wird, wobei ein noch höherer Anteil mehr als wahrscheinlich ist. Meiner Meinung nach muss die Stadtverwaltung auf die Wünsche ihrer Bürger und der Gesellschaft im allgemeinen eingehen, und im vorliegenden Fall wollen die Bürger eine Leitung der Perrera, die auf die Adoption/Vermittlung der ausgesetzten und herrenlosen Tiere setzt und nicht auf deren undifferenziertes Töten, sie wollen eine Leitung im Sinne des Tierschutzes und ganz bestimmt KEINE Tötungsstation. Eine Stadtverwaltung, die bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt im Hinblick auf das uns beschäftigende Thema beispielhaft für die Verwaltung der öffentlichen Gelder war, hat sich entschieden, eine positive und richtige Entwicklung schlichtweg zu ignorieren, und eine für die Weiterentwicklung der Bevölkerung ungemein notwendige und wegweisende Dienstleistung an ein Unternehmen zu vergeben, das Tag für Tag, Woche für Woche alternative Entscheidungen, die es treffen könnte, mit Blut befleckt. Ich werde diese Information an meine Freunde und Bekannte weitergeben, es sind Daten, die die Öffentlichkeit angehen, die Bürger müssen erfahren, wie Sie die städtische Perrera Ihrer Stadt führen, und ich erinnere Sie daran, dass all die Tiere, die ganz in der Nähe Ihres Rathauses getötet werden, nicht wählen, wir dafür aber alle.
Heute Abend findet vor dem Tierheim Getafe die Großkundgebung des Dachverbandes der Madrider Tierheime dazu statt. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung beginnt Beatriz offiziell mit ihrem unbefristeten Hungerstreik und kämpft damit für alle Tiere Spaniens!
Alles begann damit, dass ich eines nachts mal wieder mit unserem Partnertierheim telefonierte und so ganz nebenbei erfuhr, dass Beatriz zwei Tage später einen Hungerstreik beginnen würde, um ihr Tierheim zurück zu erhalten und gegen Tötungen in Perreras zu demonstrieren. Wir wussten bereits, das

Amsterdam, 29 april 2011 - De Partij voor de Dieren is een e-mailactie gestart waarmee de consument tuincentra kan oproepen geen bestrijdingsmiddelen te verkopen die gevaarlijk zijn voor bijen en andere bestuivers. Giftige bestrijdingsmiddelen zijn belangrijke veroorzakers van de bijensterfte, die vooral in Nederland massale vormen aanneemt. Deze bestrijdingsmiddelen worden niet alleen in de landbouw gebruikt, maar ook door particulieren in de tuin. De Partij voor de Dieren wil giftige bestrijdingsmiddelen van de markt halen en roept tuincentra op hun winkelschappen bij-vriendelijk in te richten.
Wereldwijd zijn bijen in gevaar en dat heeft grote gevolgen voor mensen, dieren, de natuur, kortom, het hele ecosysteem. Als we de bij verliezen, verliezen we ons voedsel: tachtig procent van de voedselgewassen is afhankelijk van bestuiving door de bij. We kunnen het ons simpelweg niet veroorloven om langer te wachten voor we in actie komen.
Bestrijdingsmiddelen worden gezien als de grote boosdoener. De Partij voor de Dieren dringt al geruime tijd aan op het van de markt halen van de extreem giftige bestrijdingsmiddelen die met het verlies van de bij en andere bestuivers in verband worden gebracht. Zo dienden we diverse moties in voor een verbod op de nieuwe, extra sterke en gevaarlijke bestrijdingsmiddelen. Het kabinet verwees deze moties structureel naar de prullenbak met het argument dat meer onderzoek nodig zou zijn.
Een uitzending van Zembla laat zien hoe groot het probleem is. Ook het milieubureau van de Verenigde Naties (UNEP) luidt de noodklok. Op sommige plekken in de wereld is het aantal bijen met wel 85 procent gedaald.
Naar aanleiding van de uitzending van Zembla vond er half april, mede op verzoek van de Partij voor de Dieren, een spoeddebat plaats. De Partij voor de Dieren vindt dat staatsecretaris Bleker de bestaande wetenschappelijke onderzoeken niet kan negeren en nu actie moet ondernemen. De Partij voor de Dieren diende onder andere een motie in voor een verbod op de verkoop van bestrijdingsmiddelen aan particulieren die gevaarlijk zijn voor bijen en andere bestuivers. Helaas is deze motie verworpen.
