Ze zijn trots op het laffe doden van weerloze dieren en laten dit aan iedereen zien, ze versieren hun gruweldaden met "Happy face emoticons ". Hoe ziek is het om plezier te hebben in moorden , pure bloeddorst en moordlust . Sommigen raken zo opgewonden dat ze het nog kloppende hart uit het lichaam rukken en het verslinden en smeren hun gezichten in met bloed... Hoe verantwoord is het om zulke gevaarlijke, zieke geesten een wapen te laten hebben !

The head of the Department of Animal Welfare, Mr. P. Du Ville, a translator-interpreter, who got the job from former minister Demotte, is probably working hard but not for the animals.
The Department of Animal Welfare should take the complaints about animal abuse seriously and give them the necessary attention and act consequently.
The animals are in an urgent need of your help! Therefore we ask you to sign the petition.
Finally a few members of the parliament are willing to devote themselves to animal welfare but in order to succeed they need your support.
Animals in Belgium are no priority and do not really count. It is thank to the dedications of these people that animal abuse can be discussed in the Parliament.
It may not be hushed up. The written questions to the Minister about the numerous cases of animal abuse should already have been brought up in Parliament but these questions seem to embarrass the Minister and the Department of Animal Welfare.
Warnings about the environmental problems in the oceans have been circulating for a number of years. A new report, however, has brought to light that the catastrophic changes that were predicted are happening much quicker than what we thought; making the need for action a more immediate one. The report was born of a workshop of world experts lead by The International Program on the State of the Ocean (IPSO) and The International Union for Conservation of Nature.
The report notes that our current activities are at high risk of causing a globally significant extinction event in the ocean....
Het is onduidelijk hoe deze straathond in Turkije met zijn kop in de motorkap van de auto is terechtgekomen, maar er is een hoop moeite gedaan om hem te bevrijden.

The Shocking and Inhumane Treatment of Dogs in Modern Day China
The purpose of this lens is to document and highlight the current inhumane and abusive treatment of dogs in The Peoples Republic of China, with the hope that worldwide knowledge and attention will support and assist the Chinese people in securing adequate and necessary animal welfare protection.
Everyday, countless thousands of dogs (many former pets) are inhumanely caged, beaten, tortured, killed and butchered, often times publicly, to feed the Chinese demand for dog meat. This activity occurs, while simultaneously three quarters of the Chinese population have indicated a desire for improved animal welfare protections and an end to the dog meat industry. Pet ownership in China has also increased dramatically, in recent years.
Please note: I am not a member of any group, or political organization and I have no agenda, other than to do what I can in improving the welfare of dogs and animals. I especially feel strongly committed, to protecting and improving the welfare of companion animals, who are completely dependent on humans for their care and well-being. This is the path of personal, as well as social responsibility and what I as one person can do and contribute.
This has been a very difficult lens for me to build, because of the fact that I love dogs and I'm a lifelong pet owner. To actually witness the facts of their pain and suffering in modern day China is unsettling and disturbing, to say the least! Hopefully, it will prove beneficial in the long-run.

Dierenrechtenorganisatie Bite Back heeft zich aangesloten bij het internationale protest tegen de - bij velen nog onbekende- zeehondenjacht in Namibië. Elk jaar geeft de Namibische overheid opnieuw een vergunning aan zeehondenjagers om 91.000 weerloze zeehonden, vooral zeehondenpups, af te slachten voor hun bont.
De Namibische stranden kleuren rood van het bloed van de 85.000 zeehondenjongen en de 6.000 zeehondenbulls. De zeehondenpups worden meedogenloos neergeknuppeld, de zeehondenbulls geschoten, en vervolgens de keel overgesneden om uit te bloeden, waarna de dieren (vaak levend!) worden gevild. Verstuur vandaag nog onderstaande protestmail waarin je samen met Bite Back bij de Namibische regering op aandringt onmiddellijk een einde te maken aan deze gruwelijke zeehondenjacht. Er is geen excuus voor bont!

Hij is de laatste bonthandelaar die het Namibische zeehondenbont opkoopt om er bontjassen van te maken. Als hij stopt met het inkopen van het bont is de kans groot dat de markt voor het Namibische zeehondenbont volledig instort. Daarom is het van belang dat ook hij gemaild wordt!

In your "welcome word" at the embassy's website, you tell us that Namibia has many facets: http://www.namibiaembassy.be. Yes indeed, this is true.
But, Excellency, apart from the glorious facets of your country, you omitted to mention one less lovely: the horrifying mass-slaughter of Cape Fur seals committed yearly by Namibia. On the first of July, 85 000 baby seal pups and a further 6000 bulls are killed in the annual cull. Please note that we members of the International Community of Animal Defenders, are not pleased. We hereby strongly protest against this ruthless extermination of wildlife.
Your welcome words states: "Every year more and more tourists discover the breathtaking beauty of Namibia... (its) wildlife ...". Well, Excellency, be assured that from now on, we will make potential tourists and other persons discover the cruel truth about the seals that call on your coast.
And it is even worse: the Cape Fur Seal is listed on Appendix 2 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES)! This means their survival is dependent on conservation. They have already a natural mortality rate of around 30% within the first few weeks of being born. As you represent the Namibian Mission to the European Union, we are sorry to say that we feel we must notify our MEPs of the Namibian breach of International Conventions and Rules.
Please transmit our urgent message to your Government, asking to reconsider its murderous policy towards the Cape Fur Seals.
We hope that the Namibian Government is aware of the harm it is doing to its reputation by beating to death these mammals?!
We also ask the Namibian Government to stop arresting and detaining journalists who attempt to film the cull - even using non-existent laws!

Guillermo 'Habacuc' Vargas, een Costaricaan, noemt zichzelf kunstenaar. Tijdens een recente expositie in Nicaragua bond hij een straathond vast aan een touw en liet het dier genadeloos verhongeren, terwijl er tegen de muur hondenvoer hing. Niemand van de bezoekers heeft ook maar iets ondernomen om de hond te helpen of te redden. Het dier stierf, vastgebonden, op een koude vloer, terwijl rondom hem mensen met hapjes en drankjes rondliepen. Zoveel wreedheid in naam van de kunst...

Im Jahr 2007 hat Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, ein “Pseudo- Künstler��?, einen Strassenhund aufgelesen, hat ihn mit einer kurze Leine an eine Mauer in einer „Kunstgalerie“ gebunden und langsam verhungern und verdursten lassen. Mehrere Tage sind der Autor dieser grauenvollen Grausamkeit und die Besucher der Kunstgalerie teilnahmslose Betrachter des Todeskampfes dieses armen Tieres gewesen, bis endlich der Tod es nach einem schmerzlichen, absurden und unverständlichen Leidensweg erlöst hatte.
Doch das ist nicht alles: diese ansehnliche „Biennale Centroamericana di Arte“ hat unverständlicherweise beschlossen, dass die von diesem “Mensch��? begangene Grausamkeit Kunst sei, und Guillermo Vargas Habucuc ebenso unverständlicherweise eingeladen, dasselbe im Jahr 2008 zu wiederholen! VERHINDERN WIR DAS!!!
Man muss nicht bezahlen, weder sich registrieren lassen, noch ist es gefährlich, und es lohnt sich, eine Petition zu senden, um die Qualifikation dieses „Menschen“, welcher fern von jeglichem Gefühl und jeglicher Sensibilität ist, als „Künstler“ anzuerkennen, eines „Menschen“, der an den Schmerzen von schutzlosen Lebewesen Genugtuung und Freude verspürt.
Versuchen wir zu verhindern, dass ein weiteres unschuldiges Tier unter der grausamen und sadistischen Neigungen dieses oder anderer widerwärtiger menschlichen Wesen schutzlos leiden muss.
