Vier extreem dronken pubers opgenomen in Nederland


 In het Nederlandse Delft zijn vier jongeren van rond de zestien in het ziekenhuis opgenomen omdat ze "bizar veel" alcohol hadden gedronken. Ze hadden promillages van rond de 2,8 procent.

Verschillende gevallen
De jongeren werden onafhankelijk van elkaar binnengebracht. "Een promillage van 2,8 procent komt overeen met 2,5 liter breezer", zegt zegt arts Nico van der Lely van het Delftse Reinier de Graaf Gasthuis. In het ziekenhuis werden de jongeren aan het infuus gelegd om de alcohol uit hun lichaam te krijgen. Na het bekijken van een website over de gevolgen van alcoholmisbruik voor het lichaam mochten ze weer naar huis.

Einde vakantie
Van der Lely wijt de komst van de beschonken jongeren aan het einde van de zomervakantie, hetgeen gepaard gaat met veel festivals en feesten. Het totale aantal dronken jongeren dat bij hem in het ziekenhuis is opgenomen, staat nu op twintig. Vorig jaar waren het er in totaal 25. In 2004 waren het er slechts vier, en in de jaren vóór 2000 hooguit één per jaar. "Het blijft toenemen", zegt Van der Lely, die geregeld aandacht vraagt voor alcoholmisbruik onder jongeren.
