Uitval van Spaanse koning naar Chavez is ringtonehit in Spanje

De uitval van de Spaanse koning Juan Carlos naar de Venezolaanse president Hugo Chavez is een flinke hit in Spanje. Al een half miljoen Spanjaarden hebben hem op hun gsm als ringtone. Koffiekoppen en T-shirts met afbeeldingen van de ruzie vliegen ook de deur uit, meldt de BBC.

"Waarom hou je je mond niet?", snauwde de Juan Carlos de Venezolaanse president vorige week toe op de Ibero-Amerikaanse top in Santiago De Chile. Chavez had de neoconservatieve ex-premier van Spanje José Maria Aznar een fascist genoemd.

Ook in Venezuela zelf is de ringtone populair. "Veel tegenstanders van de president willen hem dat zeggen", zei een 21-jarige student uit Caracas aan de Miami Herald.

Bedrijven die de ringtone aanbieden, hebben een acteur de stem laten inspreken om geen rechtszaak aan hun been te hebben. (sam)
