    Hartevreter was benieuwd om te weten hoe het met de integratie van de westerse (kristelijke) en moslimcultuur gesteld was. Omdat het 1 april is, besloten wij om de ludieke toer op te gaan. Wij hebben aldus een bericht gepost op het Facebook. Wij maakten een tijdelijk e-mailadres op naam van een fictieve moslim aan (ablah33@yahoo.com - ablah betekent zoveel als hartevreter of pestkop) en wij stuurden een bericht naar beide netwerken. De inhoud was als volgt: Broeders en Zusters! Wa alaikumus-salaam. Het Westen wil de wereld “beschaven” en tegelijk domineren. Dat zijn twee zaken die onmogelijk te combineren vallen. Wie de ander meer waardigheid, vorming en vrijheid wil geven, loopt het risico dat die ander zich niet langer zal laten onderwerpen. De opdeling tussen westerlingen die in welvaart leven en inheemsen die moeten overleven zonder zelfs de noodzakelijkste minima, is niet verenigbaar met de westerse waarden. En dus worden die waarden opzijgeschoven. Het is daarom belangrijk dat mensen in het Noorden veel meer de talen van de mensen uit het Zuiden leren. Integratie is geen eenrichtingsverkeer. Alleen zo kunnen we garanderen dat elke persoon die zich bijvoorbeeld in Europa bevindt –allochtoon of autochtoon– als een volwaardige persoon beschouwd en behandeld wordt, zonder discriminatie. Wij vragen u eerst het Arabisch in de winkels en andere openbare gelegenheden te gebruiken om de autochtonen erop te wijzen dat integratie wel degelijk mogelijk is, maar dat het van twee kanten moet komen. Met veel geduld zullen zij tenslotte overgaan tot het leren van Arabisch als tweede taal, net zoals zij dat vroeger met het Frans en nu met het Engels doen, want het Arabisch zal binnen een generatie het Engels als wereldtaal verdringen, als de groene stroom in andere landen opdroogt en het Westen afhankelijk zal worden van onze Arabische olie. Wanneer dit bereikt is zal de schoonheid van Islam geopenbaard worden en zal het christendom, dat in vrije val is, zich uiteindelijk tot onze levenswaarden bekeren. Was-salaam. Deze tekst – enigszins aangepast - komt uit het nieuwste boek van Amin Malouf, de Libanese schrijver die in Parijs woont. De aanhef en de laatste paragraaf zijn van ons.     Cycling Jersey,

    The upcoming 9th Annual Bergen County Bicycle Tour, Cycling jersey,which will be held on June 2nd, promises to be a fun day for families and serious cyclists alike. The event includes a challenging 45-mile route, a rolling terrain 25 miler and a flat 12-mile route for newer riders. Cycling Shorts Registration begins at 7:30 AM for the 45 miler which leaves at 8 AM. The 25- and 12-mile rides leave at 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM respectively.

    A real treat as in past years is a 5-mile family ride which leaves at 10:30 AM, bike wear as it allows children of ages as young as 5+ to try to ride on a road shoulder in the street as well as through a nearby community of homes. We encourage safety on this ride, which is aided by a local policeman and many of our BTCNJ members.  In the recent years this event Bike shorts has drawn approximately 700 cyclists.

    As part of the Comprehensive Bike Program, Bike Jersey a Cycling Education Committee comprised of the Mayor's Office, Bike JC and the Hudson Transportation Management Association has developed an awareness campaign to educate cyclist, pedestrians and motorists about cyclist safety. The committee has produced public service announcements that focus on the rules of the road and the environmental impact of cycling, Cycling clothing which broadcast on YouTube and JC1TV.

    Join the fun and take on Tracy Cicatelli to see who is the fastest tire changer in BTCNJ. Our very first "Fastest Tire Changer Competition"! bike jersey Legend has it that our very own Tracy can fix a Cycling Shorts Cycling Jersey flat tire in record time. To put Tracy to the test and allow her to officially claim the title of BTCNJ's fastest tire changer, we are asking for anyone who would like to challenge her to step up and compete in our first spirited and fun tire changing competition! We encourage contestants to come prepared with their own wheels and Bike Clothing we'll let the games begin! The fasted tire changers will receive a special gift. Tracy will wrap up the competition with some basic points on avoiding flats and general bike maintenance tips.
