When you are old William Butler Yeats |
When you are old and gray and full of sleep
And nodding by the fire,take down this book;
And slowly read,and dream of the soft look
Your eyess had once,and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face.
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur,a little sadly, how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars

My love is like a red,red rose Robert Burns |
My love is like a red,red rose
That's newly sprung in June;
My love is like a melody
That's sweetly played in tune.
So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I;
And I will love thee still ,my dear
Till a the seas gang
Till a the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt with sun;
And I will love theestill my dear,
While the sands o'life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only love,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I willcome again,my love,
Tho'it were ten thousand mile.
