Panic
In the end of 1978 a Rock Against Racism festival was organised in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Amongst others the English band Crass an the Dutch band "Panic" performed. The lead singer of Panic came on stage wearing a "Sinterklaas"-outfit (Duch equivalent of Santa Claus). Underneath his rope he had firework, what he let of at the beginning. It caused him second degree chestburns, which was cooled by the crowd with Heineken lager.
Ivy Green was one of the first Dutch punk bands. The band was founded in 1975 and played a simple, raw rock and roll, effortlessly joined in 1977 -coming punk craze. Their debut album was labeled as the "definitive Dutch punk record" (1978, WEA). Before this album they released a single-sided 7'', "Wap Shoo Wap", later appeared on the album as "I'm sure we're gonna make it". Well....they did!
The Filth started out in Amsterdam North in January 1978 . They made one 7'' record on the Dutch "Plurex" label (Don't hide your hate/Sex/Nothing for me).
