Het is een lief, aanhankelijk hondje, dat zich op een week snel aan ons heeft aangepast. Ze is heel vinnig en nieuwsgierig, een heel ander hondje dan Noleke.
This is our new dog Kira, a cross between a water dog and a Podenko. She has been with us since February 7, 2024 and is busy winning our hearts. She is a sweet, affectionate dog who quickly adapted to us within a week. She is very quick and curious, a very different dog than Noleke.

Skyline cam catches UFO over Donetsk, Ukraine 24-Feb-2015
An unidentified light hovered over Donetsk’s skyline on Tuesday evening. Earlier in the day, anti-Kiev forces withdrew heavy artillery 50 kilometres (31 miles) away from the line of engagement in the Donetsk region, line with the latest Minsk peace agreement.

A Washington witness at Olympia reported watching a white, hovering, cigar-shaped craft that made sharp turns and fired bright light flashes beginning about 11 a.m. on February 23, 2015, according to testimony in Case 63541 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness spotted the hovering object with no wings, tail or rotors that made no sound and had no condensation trail behind it.
“The movement of the cigar-shaped, white object was so slow that it appeared to be simply floating along at perhaps about 30-40 mph,” the witness stated. “There’s a possibility it may have been a drone – I’ve not seen all the types of drones the military has these days, and there is a base nearby, so who knows? It could have been ours, but maybe it wasn’t.”
The witness had just pulled out of a post office parking lot on Jefferson Street and turned right heading north.

“After one block Jefferson Street makes a curve to the northwest and as I was looking ahead during the curve – first gorgeous blue sky day we’ve had in a while – a white cylindrical shape in the distant sky caught my attention.”
The witness aid the object did not “look like a normal airplane.”
“It was long, cylindrical, no wings, tail or rotors, no windows as far as I could tell. It was hard to tell how far away it was – I would guess perhaps anywhere from 1.5 to 2 miles away. Elevation (guessing again) may have been ono-half to one mile high. It’s really hard to tell as there was nothing to triangulate it with.”
The witness is a pilot, but has not flown in years. He pulled over to the side of the road for a better look. The witness was able to see the object for about three to five minutes.
“From my viewpoint it was to my west-northwest, and was headed south, maybe a tweak to the southwest, moving very slowly, silently, for about one minute of my watch time, when suddenly it veered sharply to its right – due west – so now all I could see was the dot of its circumference.”
The witness then noticed flashes of light coming from the object.
“The whiteness of the object was getting dimmer as it moved further west, and suddenly I noticed a bright pomegranate-colored flash below it to the south, and then another less brilliant flash a little further away, and then a third even dimmer and further still away. They were like light flashes, nothing exploding, not flares, and were all in a single southern and lower trajectory from the craft.”

Then the craft moved again.
“A few seconds later the craft made an abrupt turn and was longwise to my view again, pointing south. It seemed to just hover there for maybe 10 seconds, and did not proceed further south. Then it abruptly turned west again and within a few seconds there was another brilliant flash off the side of the craft – a brilliant whitish-green, electric colored flash – white on the far side, greener closer to the craft. That flash was fan-shaped, different that the burst of round light previously seen. The fanned-out part of the white-green flash was away from the craft, while the narrow part of the fan-shape was right near the craft.”
The longer the witness watched at this point, the object moved further away until it was out of sight.
Olympia is the capital of the State of Washington and the county seat of Thurston County, population 46,478.
Washington is currently a UFO Alert Level 5 – with 0.87 sightings per million population based on MUFON January 2015 statistics. Washington received a total of six UFO reports in January. The UFO Alert Rating System is based on five levels – 1 through 5 – where states with 4.01 or higher reports per million residents are rated an Alert 1; 3.01 – 4.0 reports are an Alert 2; 2.51 – 3.0 are an Alert 3; 2.01 – 2.5 are an Alert 4; and those states with 2.0 or lower are rated an Alert 5.

FAMILY ALIEN ABDUCTION IN MASSACHUSETTS 1966 ……. SHEFFIELD MASSACHUSETTS
It’s 1966, and 6-year-old Thomas Reed is in his bedroom on his family’s horse farm in the Berkshires when the encounters begin. Strange lights. Strange figures in the hallway. Suddenly, he’s in the woods near his home looking at a UFO. Then he and his younger brother, Matthew, are inside the craft. He’s shown a projection of a willow tree. The following year, there is another incident at their home on Boardman Street in Sheffield. More strange lights. The sound of doors slamming. Then the boys are back inside the vessel. The next thing Thomas knows, he’s in his driveway being scooped up by his mother, who has been searching frantically for the boys on horseback. Two years later, the family is driving on Route 7 when they see strange lights in the sky. Their car stalls, and then Thomas and his brother and mother and grandmother find themselves in a giant room. He is brought to meet two strange, ant-like figures, then placed in some sort of cage. Next thing, he’s back near the car. Reed has told these stories many times, and it has not always gone well. But recently, his tale had found recognition in an unlikely place. The Great Barrington Historical Society & Museum has formally inducted the UFO story.
What does that mean? “It means that we believe it is true,” said Debbie Oppermann, the director of the society. “I know we’re going to get a lot of backlash. We’re going to get hammered,” she said. “But we have given it an awful lot of thought, and, based on the evidence we’ve been given, we believe this is a significant and true event.” The historical society believes it is the first time a “mainstream” historical society or museum in the United States has declared a UFO encounter to be historical fact. But the decision was far from unanimous; of the nine members of the historical society’s board, three were “strongly opposed” to the decision, Oppermann said, but “it passed with consensus.” The Reed case already has its own display in the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, N.M.; now, it’s about to get one in Great Barrington, about 2 miles from where the alleged encounters took place. That most interests the historical society is the 1969 encounter, because dozens of people in the area reported seeing an unidentified flying object around that time, typically described as a disk-shaped craft performing acrobatic maneuvers in the sky. Many of those eyewitnesses called the local radio station, WSBS, which covered the sightings. (The radio station has provided documentation to the historical society, which interviewed one of those eyewitnesses. They have also examined a polygraph test taken by Thomas Reed.) Director Debbie Oppermann says the Great Barrington Historical Society believes the Reed family story of having been abducted by aliens in 1969 is true, in part because dozens of people reported seeing a UFO at that time.

Alien race known as Nordics influences Putin, according to Councillor Simon Parkes during his talk in Wallsend.
Labour councillor Simon Parkes told a group of around 30 people in Wallsend, North Tyneside that there’s extraterrestrial intervention in Eastern Europe’s recent hostilities.
Coun Parkes, who previously made headlines after claiming that he had hundreds of alien encounters in his life, blamed a race of aliens he called the Nordics for Russia’s aggression in the Ukraine.
The North Yorkshire councillor said that Putin has gotten support from Nordics against perceived U.S. influences in the area.
He revealed that Putin had been one of those people advised by reptiles, but Nordics made a counter offer to the Russian president.
Parkes further claimed that Nordics’ technology is equal with the U.S. The Nordics, according to Parkes, told Putin that he doesn’t need to grant anymore what the Americans requested him to do.
The Whitby councillor also made another shocking claim to the audience at The Vault when he said that his legal father (in the eyes of the universal law) is a reptile.
Ahead of the session, Coun Parkes, who represents Stakesby, had made a comment about the video reportedly taken on Tyneside. It apparently shows a UFO hovering above the North Sea.
Parkes said that the video appears very genuine and the UFO looks like a diamond-shape alien craft to him.
Referring to the video, he said that it’s weird the aircraft remained there for so long. For him, the craft wanted to be seen. Looking at the video, Parkes believes it depicts alien life.
Coun Parkes also actuated controversy in 2013 when he claimed that he lost his virginity to an extraterrestrial at the age of five. But Parkes further claimed that this was not the first time he experienced alien life. The councillor said that when he was in his mother’s womb, he first experienced extraterrestrial life, and he has sexual dealings with an alien group at a maximum of four times a year.

It’s happened again. An East Kingston resident said she saw a "silver-cigar" shaped object in a daytime sky last week. This report comes about a week after a 48-year-old Navy veteran claimed to have seen a similar object. R
Artist Angela Gram met with the man who said that he saw the object on a recent afternoon. Gram created a rendering of the object based on the man's description. She said that his story was believable. R
EXETER - There was something odd in the sky last week, something that caused a Navy veteran with 10,000 hours of flight experience to have his own close encounter.
The former flight engineer, who wished to be identified only as "David," said of the experience, "this was like nothing I’ve ever seen before."
What the retired Navy chief petty officer said he saw last Wednesday could only be classified as a UFO, an unidentified flying object.
It was a bright and sunny afternoon, about 3:15 p.m., and David was outside preparing his lawnmower. He had filled the mower with gas, checked the oil, and took a sip from a glass of water he had poured. When he tilted his head back to get the final sip, through the bottom of the glass he saw a large cigar-shaped object hovering in the sky.
David said windows were equally spaced around the object, however he didn’t see anyone or anything inside. The size of the object was enormous. By comparison, he said, consider what an ultralight plane would look like next to a Boeing 747. He said it was about the size of two USS Nimitz aircraft carriers.
At first glance, through his empty glass of water he thought it could have been the Hood blimp. "But, the instant I put my glass down, I said, ‘that’s not a blimp.’"
The object moved from west to east, very slowly for something that size, he said. His initial instinct was that the object was moving at about 100 knots, but something that big shouldn’t be able to stay in the air if it’s going that slow, he said.
The object began changing colors from a bright silver to an orange-ish red. A strange cloud of red and orange flames began surrounding the object, and before he knew it the object stretched out like a rubber band. It grew to about twice its original size, and then it was gone.
The entire incident lasted about 10 minutes, he recalled Monday morning, but he is unaware of the specific time because, "it felt like time stopped."
He went into his house and first thought to call the police. He decided not to because he didn’t think they’d take him seriously. So he went on the Internet and searched for "report UFO," and found the Web site for the Seattle-based National UFO Reporting Center.
Peter Davenport, director of the UFO reporting center, said David’s report was astonishing because of his history with flight. "I have no question on his reliability."
He said he gets several accounts each year, but this one stood out. The report was well written and scientific, Davenport said.
"In my view, that’s one of the cardinal rules of an account," he said.
The center was founded in 1974 by UFO investigator Robert Gribble. The center’s Web site, www.nuforc.org, has a large list of UFO sightings. According to the site, the center’s primary function is to receive, record, and to the greatest degree possible, corroborate and document reports from individuals who have witnessed possible UFOs. David’s report, which will soon be on the Web site, will be among dozens of documented sightings to be formally reported to the center.
Not the first time
The Exeter area is no stranger to UFO sightings. In 1965, two Exeter police officers and hitchhiker Norman Muscarello, who was with them, gained national attention after seeing a UFO hovering over Route 101 in Kensington. The sighting was documented in a book called "The Incident at Exeter."
And then there was the incident involving Barney and Betty Hill, a husband and wife from Portsmouth who claimed to have been abducted by aliens. The couple was driving from a vacation in Canada in 1961 when they saw a UFO.
The object moved directly over their car, and before they knew it they grew drowsy. They later claimed to have been abducted by aliens and gave identical accounts while they were hypnotized.
But for this recent sighting, David said he believes that there is life beyond Earth. He said the galaxy is so enormous, it’s hard to believe humans are the only intelligent life.
"To the point of not being obnoxious, it’d be egocentric to think there is no other life out there."

NIDS conducted a preliminary investigation into the alleged January 18, 1978 fatal shooting of a non-human (?alien?) entity at Fort Dix/McGuire AFB in New Jersey.
The source, a sergeant in the Air Force Security Police at McGuire AFB, adds substantive information relative to the reported fatal encounter on January 18, 1978, between an alleged alien entity and a Ft. Dix MP and relates his firsthand observation, while on duty, when the slain entity was found on an abandoned runway at McGuire AFB.
Here is the story of the incident that literally changed the life of a conscientious young air policeman who was carrying on a family tradition of police service.

Letter from sergeant Morse summarizing his experience and the incident:
In January of 1978, I was stationed at McGuire AFB, NJ. One evening, during the time frame of 0300hrs and 0500hrs., there were a number of UFO sightings in the area over the air field and Ft. Dix Army camp. I am a security policeman and was on routine patrol at the time. N.J. State Police, and Ft. Dix MPs were running code in the direction of Brownsville, NJ. A state trooper then entered gate #5 at the rear of the base requesting assistance and permission to enter. I was dispatched and the trooper wanted access to the runway area which led to the very back of the air field and connected with a heavily wooded area which is part of the Dix training area. He informed me that a Ft. Dix MP was pursueing (sic) a low flying object which then hovered over his car. He described it as oval shaped, with no details, and glowing with a blueish (sic) green color. His radio transmission was cut off. At that time in front of his police car, appeared a thing, about 4ft tall, grayish (sic), brown, fat head, long arms, and slender body. The MP panicked and fired five rounds from his .45 Cal into the thing, and one round into the object above. The object then fled straight up and joined with eleven others high in the sky. This we all saw but didn?t know the details at the time. Anyway, the thing ran into the woods towards our fenceline and they wanted to look for it. By this time several patrols were involved.
We found the body of the thing near the runway. It had apparently climbed the fence and died while running. It was all of a sudden hush-hush and no one was allowed near the area. We roped off the area and AF OSI came out and took over. That was the last I saw of it. There was a bad stench coming from it too. Like ammonia smelling but it wasn?t constent (sic) in the air. That day, a team from Wright-Patterson AFB came in a C141 and went to the area. They crated it in a wooden box, sprayed something over it, and then put it into a bigger metal container. They loaded it in the plane and took off. That was it, nothing more was said, no report made and we were all told not to have anything to say about it or we would be court martialed.

Morse, in subsequent conversations, revealed that two days after the incident he and others on duty at the scene were summoned to Wright Patterson AFB for interrogation, and each was transferred promptly to a separate base overseas.
The Fort Dix/McGuire case was also of interest because a prominent UFO investigator, George Filer, claimed to have been present at McGuire AFB on the morning of January 18, 1978. Mr. Filer told NIDS that he witnessed a commotion with red lights on one of the disused runways at McGuire when he arrived on the base at 4:00 AM. He further claimed that he heard from a Senior Master Sergeant at McGuire command post on the same morning that (i) UFO activity had been sighted by the control tower and on radar at neighboring Fort Dix and (ii) an alien had been shot that morning and that it had been found dead on the runway at McGuire.

Top 10 Ancient Gadgets! # 6 you probably already recognize
February 25, 2015 - Nowadays, we are extremely proud of the existent technology and we have come to rely on it for various things. But what was it like hundreds of years ago? What was technology for the cultures existent back then? Well, as history and archeological findings have shown us, they did have technology and, of course, ancient gadgets. Let’s check out the top 10 gadgets of the ancient world.
#1 Antikythera Mechanism
Made almost 2000 years ago, the Antikythera Mechanism is believed to be one of the oldest computers in the world. Found in the ruins of a ship, it was considered for a long time to be clock but recent discoveries have demonstrated it could do so much more. Originating from Greece, this ancient gadget had the ability to predict when a solar eclipse would happen and even could organize the calendar in cycles of four years.
#2 The Coso Artifact
The fact that you would find a spark plug is nothing special. But what happens when that spark plug is actually embedded in hard rock, one that dates from as long as 500.000 years ago? The Coso Artifact has disappeared and it is not to be studied using modern technology. There are three suppositions however when it comes to its origins: one, that it was made by an extremely intelligent ancient civilization such as Atlantis; two, that it came from the future and three, that it is of alien origin.
#3 Baigong Pipes
Located on top of Mountain Baigong, the Baigong pipes lead directly into a pyramid. The interesting thing about these rusty pipes is that no signs of civilizations in the area has ever been unearthed there. This means that the reason for which these have been made is still unknown. However, they are of an uniform size and they do have a special pattern, a salt lake being situated in their close vicinity.
#4 Ancient Sandstone Xylophone
The link between humans and music is older than any of us can imagine. In the early 20th century, scientists have discovered these ancient sandstones and they believed them to have been used for grinding grains. It took a lot of time and a fortunate accident before their real purpose was discovered; it seems that this ancient gadget is actually a musical instrument, this being discovered by accident by an archaeologist.
#5 Roman Dodecahedra
While there are many fascinating Roman artifacts that can easily pose as ancient gadgets, this is by far one of the best. Amazingly enough, it was found in several countries, including Germany, France and Switzerland. Even though many archaeologists have tried to study it, no clear purpose was identified. They were able to identify certain symbols on it there are related to the Zodiac but they are not certain whether it was used for surveying or it just had a decorative purpose.
#6 Mystery airplanes
Discovered in Columbia, these figurines are believed to have been made by a tribe named Quimbaya, somewhere around 1000 CE. The resemblance to an airplane is uncanny, as they have tails, landing gears and wings just like any modern day plane. Scientists have rebuilt models after them only to prove that they worked. There are some scientists who say that these are only stylized fish or insects.

This ancient gadget is made from clay and it is believed to date back to the second millennium. Just like other ancient gadgets, its origin is unknown and so is the meaning or the intent purpose. The disc has been unearthed in Crete and it has a wide array of symbols imprinted on it, some of which have been identified as people, animals, tools or plants.
#8 Byzantine Tablet
While we rely on modern tablets for a lot of things, so did the people from Byzantine culture rely on their ancient gadgets. This tablet is comprised of five panels that are stacked together and each of them has a frame and a wax coating. It is believed that they were used for making note on inventories or appraisals.

Perhaps this is one of the strangest ancient gadgets to have ever been discovered. While it is clearly a battery, it does not explain why would people who lived in the ancient world need it. It was found in Iraq in 1936 and ever since then scientists have constructed replicas in order to prove that it actually works.

These stones are unique ancient gadgets and many people have said they belong to an ancient or alien culture. They were discovered on a burial site in the Himalayan mountains and each of these stones is actually a one-foot wide disc, with a simple hole in the center. Modern day gadgets are extremely useful for us. And maybe it was just like that for ancient cultures, relying on the gadgets presented above for every day living.
Poltergeist phenomena was soon concurrent with a close overhead sighting of a flotilla of alien craft.
Nightmares and vivid dreams involving 3-D scenario 'exams' ensued including recalling eyeball to eyeball encounters with entities who were white like a refrigerator, tall, flat like a gumby cartoon character and who spoke mind to mind.
When I began to write about and focus on these experiences by doing broadcasts things got much worse.
Electrical irregularities, knocks and ticks on furniture, fixtures, appliances, the walls preceded nightmares and abduction recall; floorboards creaked with the specific weight of unseen intelligence's cloaked lightweight chitin frames who were sinister, intrusive, telepathic, abducting and controlling.
Nightmares abounded and 'bad luck' incidents increased.
Vivid unpleasant dreams prevailed; imposed nightmares, given in clear retribution, were not only screen memories to muddle the memory of an abduction, but also strong telepathic attacks by a discorporate energy with intelligence, an alien entity in-dwelling or attached.
One is horrified.
Therein is the true invasion; only God knows how long this has been going on with people, on Earth.
It is surely demonic in nature. The motives and tactics of these beings are predatory, sinister and self-justifying, the three criteria of pure evil.
I have researched the literature available and have come up with quotes that corroborate my beliefs and inclinations about these highly technological beings who I have seen eyeball to eyeball, who are the pilots of UFOs which violate our airspace and its citizens, nightly:

"My mission, even when I was not sure that my own close encounter experiences were physical, or even negative, was to find ways of empowering myself and others in the face of this unknown.
When I was having and seeing good experiences, I wanted to facilitate contact. Now that contact has changed, I have changed. I want to find ways of effectively protecting us.
I view the spreaders of disempowering messages to be de facto under the control of the visitors, whether they are operating from some concealed agenda, under some sort of mind control, or simply from their own fear. If you preach fear without empowerment, as far as I am concerned, you're working for them. The same is true if you preach the bald faced lie that they are in some way loving toward us and that our fear is our fault. This is pure fantasy, and also does their work for them, in that it keeps us passive toward what is happening to us.
So, what is to be done?
Unfortunately, ordinary means do not offer us any help. The government is obviously unable even to warn people of the dangers involved. Otherwise, it would have publicized the murders I have referred to and openly studied things like implants and the physical effects of abduction which, though little researched and poorly understood, appear to be many.
The amount of physical evidence is so extensive that research would be quite easy. The truth is that the skeptics' lie that there is no physical evidence of abduction is just that: a complete falsehood. There is, in fact, an abundance of physical evidence readily available to science.
I think that protection will come from two things: mutual support and knowledge. I don't think that abductee groups are the answer, though. I tried such groups early on and they were a disaster. People with religious and `space brothers' agendas rushed to them. Mentally ill and otherwise disturbed people who want to ascribe their personal problems to the stress of contact appeared, bringing their baggage with them. Even the groups that came together well were, ultimately, unproductive. What can we really do in these groups? In the end, they became repetitive and did not offer what we need. Counselling and post-abduction support is important, of course. But what we need is a means of controlling our exposure to close encounters in the first place.
Ten years ago, I was saying that what we needed was a means of perfecting communication and learning how to live in the context of encounter. Of course I was. Except for my initial experience, I'd had a wonderful time. And I still can't fault it. The visitors took me beyond the edge of known reality, and I saw spread before me hidden glories.
However, I am also a down-to-earth realist, and I am not seeing any of that sort of thing anymore. We need to learn how to anticipate contact and how to avoid it. If there are still visitors out there who have something good to bring us, they'll find their own way, I feel sure. But right now what we've got to deal with is awful, and the key to doing this is avoidance.
If we were not able to avoid them, they wouldn't need to sneak up on us as they do. So knowledge matters. Social agreement matters. But our best tools, the government with all its various resources and the scientific community with its ability to explore and gather information, have been denied to us by a process of clever social control, or possibly for good reason, as discussed above, by the government itself.
Most abduction researchers offer no help, or `help' that's actually worse than nothing. Being told that it's horrible and there's nothing to be done except wait for `disclosure' that will never come doesn't help. It freezes us and tells us we are impotent until and if our captured or neutered government acts. Being told idiotic things like we made an "agreement" of some sort with the visitors "on the soul level" to go through this is shameful and childish rubbish.
On a frank, physical level, the only things that I know help are two:
1. Stay in heavily populated areas, especially at night.
2. Move every few years. In recent years, Anne and I have moved seven times,
and we are typical of witnesses. However, running is ultimately not an answer.
Being informed helps. Knowing the signs of possible visitor involvement in a given area helps.
What are these signs? Listen to the interview with Kenny Young. All the signs are present in this case. The first is the presence of UFOs in the area. The visitors often, but not always, make their presence known in this way, perhaps because they cannot conceal the craft, or do not care to.
They know that the media won't provide useful information about their presence. Another way to find out is to visit the National UFO Reporting Center often. This isn't a perfect system, but its the best we have.
The second sign is if you should notice any manifestations around you. If you actually see a UFO, for example. Or if your area suddenly becomes extremely quiet. Birds and animals stop, insects stop. An eerie silence falls. If this is followed by an eruption of animal sounds-dogs howling and barking, cats pacing, wildlife squalling, it means that the visitors are on the ground.
Personally, I would stay awake and together in a lighted room. Don't venture out. Don't express any interest in them. And if there is the least sign of their presence near you- knocking on walls, sudden shadows flashing about in the house, your pets becoming agitated-do not go to sleep no matter how sleepy you get. Fight it. Turn on music, the TV, make phone calls. And don't go to sleep in the predawn. The hours from three until sunrise are favorite contact times. Stay awake until well after dawn, when the world is active again.
Ultimately, as a species, we have no escape from this. Even if the government were to announce that the visitors were entirely real, and publish all it knows about them, and do everything it possibly could now or in any conceivable future to free us from them, we would not succeed in escaping them. In fact, no amount of struggle is going to dislodge them.
Maybe not from the world, anyway. But from your life-yes. You can help yourself. It is not only about avoiding encounter, it is about coping on a personal as well as a social level.
As to the question, `why have the visitors changed,' maybe they haven't. Look at what's happened from another perspective. What if astronauts from earth discovered another world. Perhaps, for a time, strict rules of contact that respected the native population would be observed. Maybe, though, in time, those rules would be relaxed, especially as travel to the new world became easier and cheaper.
Exploitative people would arrive, people carrying their religious and ideological agendas. These would be lesser people than the noble astronauts-believers and fanatics intent on imposing their fantasies on the helpless aliens. Then there would be those seeking resources of some kind, who wanted results and didn't care how they got them. And there would be the evil, the sadists, the scum.
For whatever reason, I think we have been left to the exploiters and the scum. Who knows? Maybe the good guys gave up or lost a war. Maybe those of us who got good treatment were simply being deceived.
The point is, we must always approach this from a practical standpoint, and at the present time, contact is awful and dangerous. If the visitors want it to be different, then they need to find a way to change it. For our part, we must seek to find the good in our own souls, and let the dark presence that slips along the paths of the night know that we know it is there, and we will do everything we can to avoid it."
My journal entries get a lot of comment, and for that I am so grateful to you. Some of it is quite, quite wise, and I thought that this, from a knowledgeable abductee, is particularly valuable. Take it to heart.
I drink a LOT of water before sleep so as to awaken during sleep to urinate often just as a method of tearing myself away from the vivid constructs of imposed "dreams" as I find it virtually impossible to go "lucid' despite years of self programming.
I might have supposed that our own military is involved up to their necks with Dracos and other reptoid-greys to use people for their own nefarious purposes but I thought that one must be highly psychic or otherwise gifted in OBE's or astral travel to be so used..
I am only rarely episodically highly psychic.
I am able to focus anger against them but I awaken each morning drained from ethereal "milking", feeling the "burn" of attachments, like unseen arms hugging me and I suffer from horrid nightmare scenarios, like attacks by large crab-like cockroaches, alien- demonic bullcrap.
I have seen juvenile reptilians materialize briefly when I try astrally to sweep their burning connection touches from my body ; they are five foot tall half man half monitor lizard entities with a birdlike intelligence and curiosity in their eyes.
I have presumed that almost all the vivid "dreams" imposed upon me are screen memories as I am aboard craft.
I DO have the odd ability to remain lucid during some parts of abductions and have been a 'management' problem for their efforts as I can resist in small ways and do recall enough to write down and post it everywhere on the web.
Shortly after an experience where I awakened, in bed, surrounded by small entities who were operating a small whirring drill into my lower neck, I had to have emergency surgery, for real, because three neck discs completely compressed my spinal cord close to my brain, to cause pain one could never imagine and it threatened to totally paralyze me.
All discs from c-3 to c-7 were replaced with titanium and marrow grafts using cadaver sterilized bone material.The pain has been unimaginable and sleep almost impossible; I cannot submit my head to a pillow.
Since that life threatening experience, years later two discs just below the hardware in my neck herniated and sleep is replete with pain shooting down both arms.
The jaw pain and headaches are my constant companions; it is all that I can do to sleep a few hours as I cannot recline.
I have been diagnosed with degenerative spinal disease and many discs also herniate in my thorax and lumbar that make sitting or walking an experience in pain down both legs.
I am convinced that all this has been retribution for writing about them though I have been severely warned by them NOT to continue to publicize truths about aliens.
There are still many who cannot accept aliens and UFOs.

Is it time to take the search for intelligent aliens to the next level?
For more than half a century, scientists have been scanning the heavens for signals generated by intelligent alien life. They haven't found anything conclusive yet, so some researchers are advocating adding an element called "active SETI" (search for extraterrestrial intelligence) — not just listening, but also beaming out transmissions of our own designed to catch aliens' eyes.
Active SETI "may just be the approach that lets us make contact with life beyond Earth," Douglas Vakoch, director of interstellar message composition at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, California, said earlier this month during a panel discussion at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in San Jose. Vakoch envisions using big radio dishes such as the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico to blast powerful, information-laden transmissions at nearby stars, in a series of relatively cheap, small-scale projects.
"Whenever any of the planetary radar folks are doing their asteroid studies, and they have an extra half an hour before or after, there's always a target star readily available that they can shift to without a lot of extra slough time," he said.
The content of any potential active SETI message is a subject of considerable debate. If it were up to astronomer Seth Shostak, Vakoch's SETI Institute colleague, we'd beam the entire Internet out into space.
"It's like sending a lot of hieroglyphics to the 19th century — they [aliens] can figure it out based on the redundancy," Shostak said during the AAAS discussion. "So, I think in terms of messages, we should send everything."
While active SETI could help make humanity's presence known to extrasolar civilizations, the strategy could also aid the more traditional "passive" search for alien intelligence, Shostak added.
"If you're going to run SETI experiments, where you're trying to listen for a putative alien broadcast, it may be very instructive to have to construct a transmitting project," he said. "Because now, you walk a mile in the Klingons' shoes, assuming they have them."
Cause for concern?
But active SETI is a controversial topic. Humanity has been a truly technological civilization for only a few generations; we're less than 60 years removed from launching our first satellite to Earth orbit, for example. So the chances are that any extraterrestrials who pick up our signals would be far more advanced than we are. [The Search for Intelligent Life: 4 Key Questions (Video)]
This likelihood makes some researchers nervous, including famed theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.
"Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they could reach," Hawking said in 2010 on an episode of "Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking," a TV show that aired on the Discovery Channel. "If so, it makes sense for them to exploit each new planet for material to build more spaceships so they could move on. Who knows what the limits would be?"
Astrophysicist and science fiction author David Brin voiced similar concerns during the AAAS event, saying there's no reason to assume that intelligent aliens would be altruistic.
"This is an area in which discussion is called for," Brin said. "What are the motivations of species that they might carry with them into their advanced forms, that might color their cultures?"
Brin stressed that active SETI shouldn't be done in a piecemeal, ad hoc fashion by small groups of astronomers.
"This is something that should be discussed worldwide, and it should involve our peers in many other specialties, such as history," he said. "The historians would tell us, 'Well, gee, we have some examples of first-contact scenarios between advanced technological civilizations and not-so-advanced technological civilizations.' Gee, how did all of those turn out? Even when they were handled with goodwill, there was still pain."
Out there already
Vakoch and Shostak agreed that international discussion and cooperation are desirable. But Shostak said that achieving any kind of consensus on the topic of active SETI may be difficult. For example, what if polling reveals that 60 percent of people on Earth are in favor of the strategy, while 40 percent are opposed?
"Do we then have license to go ahead and transmit?" Shostak said. "That's the problem, I think, with this whole 'let's have some international discussion' [idea], because I don't know what the decision metric is."
Vakoch and Shostak also said that active SETI isn't as big a leap as it may seem at first glance: Our civilization has been beaming signals out into the universe unintentionally for a century, since the radio was invented.
"The reality is that any civilization that has the ability to travel between the stars can already pick up our accidental radio and TV leakage," Vakoch said. "A civilization just 200 to 300 years more advanced than we are could pick up our leakage radiation at a distance of several hundred light-years. So there are no increased dangers of an alien invasion through active SETI."
But Brin disputed this assertion, saying the so-called "barn door excuse" is a myth.
"It is very difficult for advanced civilizations to have picked us up at our noisiest in the 1980s, when we had all these military radars and these big television antennas," he said.
Shostak countered that a fear of alien invasion, if taken too far, could hamper humanity's expansion throughout the solar system, an effort that will probably require the use of high-powered transmissions between farflung outposts.
"Do you want to hamstring all that activity — not for the weekend, not just shut down the radars next week, or active SETI this year, but shut down humanity forever?" Shostak said. "That's a price I'm not willing to pay."
So the discussion and debate continues — and may continue for quite some time.
"This is the only really important scientific field without any subject matter," Brin said. "It's an area in which opinion rules, and everybody has a very fierce opinion."

Modern scientific discovery is driven by one thing, without which breakthroughs like gene sequencing, the search for the Higgs boson and dark matter and huge telescope arrays wouldn’t be possible – High Performance Computing (HPC).
With the computational might to blitz through millions of bytes of data, calculations and statistical possibilities, scientists were able to posit the existence of particles like the Higgs boson and campaign for expensive projects like the Large Hadron Collider – because they could show what they were looking for.
The same kind of processing power is what’s allowing the UK’s version of the Genome Project, attempting to sequence whole genomes rather than just excerpts known as exons, to go ahead.
Cambridge University has had HPC in one form or another for 18 years, from the old 80s supercomputer sitting in the middle of a room, to its modern new server facility, which is based on a large DellDell server cluster made up of 9.600 cores and four petabytes of storage running on a Hadoop platform and is currently getting its finishing touches after a £20m investment.

The university has one of the largest research and development budgets in the UK education sector, devoting 40 per cent of its £1438m annual revenue to funding advances in the fields of astronomy, genomics, medicine, physics and many more.
But its HPC time is also hired out to businesses in the nearby science and technology park, helping the university to pay for top IT support, while providing a valuable niche service to firms
Just a few years ago, that kind of commoditisation of HPC wouldn’t have been possible, Dr Paul Calleja, director of HPC Service at Cambridge, told visitors in a talk attended by Forbes.
“It used to be that a small number of users were eating up all the HPC power,” he said. “But now we have a long tail in HPC usage – modest amounts of HPC are now useful to many more people.”
That change is down to how much more computational power is available, but despite the value of Moore’s Law in increasing processor power, the growth in data volumes far outstrips it. Massive global science projects like CERN’s particle physics experiments and the Genome Project are creating a demand revolution that’s going to drive ever-increasing HPC, Dr Calleja reckons.
“I believe that the change now will be more fundamental than the change in the late 90s that ushered in the commoditisation of HPC,” he said.
Cambridge’s new data centre has 96 cabinets that can take a 1000kW to 2000kW IT load, but the university sees it as sufficient just for a two to five year growth plan. It’s going to have to be fast enough and powerful enough to process data from what is currently the world’s most ambitious IT project – the Square Kilometre Array.
This is the next generation radio telescope project to be built in Australia and South Africa, which will be 50 to 100 times more sensitive than any other radio instrument and require long-haul network links with a capacity greater than the current global Internet traffic as well as very high powered computing.
At the same time, Cambridge’s HPC Service will be catering to projects like the Bridge Genome Project, an attempt to study the gene sequencing of 10,000 people with rare genetic diseases.
According to Willem Ouwehand, professor of experimental haematology at the university, genomics medicine is a multi-disciplinary field, employing physicists and mathematicians alongside nurses and biologists. In fact, a third of the people involved in gene research are actually working on the computational side.

The Bridge project is hoping to help advance the study of rare genetic diseases, which affect more than 300 million people in the world, but are extremely difficult for on-the-ground medical staff to diagnose.
Professor Ouwehand foresees a time when computers could help to support doctors’ diagnoses by holding a bank of data on diseases learned from gene sequencing. And this project can afford to sequence whole genomes instead of exons because of the commoditisation of the HPC Service at Cambridge, which has opened up the university’s budget.
And on top of that, Cambridge’s processors will also be continuing to run the mathematical models that predict the next particles that accelerators like the LHC might glimpse. Ron Horgan, professor in theoretical and mathematical physics, explained that the same sort of computational power needed to explore the far reaches of the Universe through astronomy are also needed to examine the most fundamental and smallest particles.
“The LHC has more than enough energy to prove the Standard Model of Physics and even go beyond that, but we believe there’s still more after that – that’s where HPC comes in,” he said.
Supercomputers run the mathematical models that predict where particles might appear and with enough verification, scientists can then start the search in the real world, as the LHC did with the Higgs boson.
“Understanding physics using computers is a third discipline of the scientific method in addition to theory and experiment,” Horgan added.
This is all possible using Cambridge’s HPC Service now, but even more will be done as demand drives further innovation in HPC in the future, according to Dr Calleja.
“Tomorrow there will be large public data sets in the fields of science, linked to computing power and analytical methods and open to a broad research base of experts and non-experts alike,” he said.
“This democratisation of data will be what transforms the research process and this technological wonderland is on the horizon, I think.”

Russia has been looking at the possibility of creating its own space station by 2024. The country’s space agency, Roscosmos, says it is committed to the International Space Station until then, but then will unlock the modules to create its own base.
The proposed Russian space station would give the country’s space agency a platform to further its goals to explore the Moon, which is a priority for Roscosmos. The agency will look to study the Moon, using robotic equipment over the next decade with the goal of sending manned missions to the moon by 2030, Tass news agency reported the Science and Technology board for Roscosmos as stating. It will be partly built from segments from the old station, as well as adding new ones.
“Piloting cosmonauts is part of our general space strategy and today with have decided upon our main trajectory,” said Yury Koptev, a representative of the Science and Technology board, Tass reported. “This is through the International Space Station and working towards a lunar program in the Earth’s orbit and in deep space.”

Koptev added that the space agency will continue its research into the Moon and further space exploration in March, leading up to the board’s next meeting.
“The configuration of a multi-purpose laboratory module, a [docking] node module and a scientific power module [would] create a promising Russian space station to meet the challenges of providing secure access to space,” a statement from the agency read, according to Tass.
Roscosmos's Science and Technology board have been looking at the possibility of piloting astronauts till 2030.
The possibility of creating a Russian stand-alone space station was first confirmed by Oleg Ostapenko, the head of Roscosmos, in December.
“There is this option. We are making calculations at the moment,” Ostapenko said, when asked about the possible project.

He added that a national space station would be “a step forward” for Russia and may serve “a number of different purposes,” for instance as a transfer point for the Russian lunar exploration program.
Russia has had its own space station in the past. This was until 2001, when the Mir space station was deorbited, splashing down into the Pacific Ocean after spending more than 5,500 days in space. Russia cited the age of the station and the high operational costs as the reasons for the decision.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who supervises defense-related policies, has said Moscow could discontinue its segment of the International Space Station (ISS) after 2020. He added that “the Russian segment [of the ISS] can exist independently from the American one, but the American segment cannot exist without the Russian.”
Russia’s decision to continue its cooperation with the International Space Station will come as a relief to the other partners involved in the program. There had been uncertainty whether Russia would continue following western sanctions introduced against the country. Russia is currently the only nation capable of getting astronauts to and from the ISS, following the disbanding of NASA’s space shuttle program.
The US stated over a year ago that it will continue to back the ISS and keep it operational at least until 2024, with the possibility to extend its mission to 2028, the 30-year anniversary of the launch of the outpost’s first module.

According to Peru This Week, television show 'Alto al Crimen' - an investigative program aimed at preventing high level crime - was shooting an episode in the upscale Miraflores district of Lima on February 10 when they spotted the unusual object.
The show's host, Lima Congressman Renzo Reggiardo, halted an interview in order to allow his camera operator to focus on the strange-looking purple object in the sky.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the object hovering over the city for up to two hours.
Thousands of people have taken to social media to discuss what they think the mysterious purple object is and the video has already been viewed more than 100,000 times.

Erich Rever of the Peruvian Raelian Movement said: 'This UFO appeared right when we held a press conference to present our embassy project plan, which we have submitted to the Peruvian government.
'Peru must be dear to our extraterrestrial creators, who lived here in ancient times and left many traces, so we're asking the government for permission to build the embassy here.
'It's a wonderful opportunity for Peruvians to understand their past and, more importantly, to consider receiving our creators, the Elohim, who were taken for gods by our ancestors and now ask to be welcomed back.
'We're hoping the Peruvian government will receive their request loud and clear!'
The Peru chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is investigating and says it is seeking more eyewitnesses who may have videotaped the purple aerial object from different vantage points.
Early AM February 24, 2015 (late pm February 23) a very large fireball meteor appeared in the skies over Montana, Idaho, Washington, Colorado, Utah, and Oregon.
The fireball spotted streaking across the night sky late on Monday in the western United States was almost certainly the body of a rocket used by
China in December to launch a satellite, an astronomer said on Tuesday.
Residents in Rocky Mountain states such as Idaho, Utah and Montana reported seeing the rocket as it disintegrated in the atmosphere about 70 miles (113 km) above Earth, said Chris Anderson, manager of the Centennial Observatory at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.
The rocket, which was orbiting Earth about every 87 minutes, made an early appearance elsewhere and in fiery fashion likely because its orientation may have changed.
The old saying goes “Diamond are a girl’s best friend” but the question is, what’s with the Diamond UFOs over New York?
It was a little after 9 p.m. on September 27th, 2014 Hank, a Buffalo, NY resident went outside for a cigarette. While gazing at the crystal clear southern sky he observed a diamond UFO traversing the sky.
“As I was watching the object slowly move from east to west, suddenly it stopped and appeared to hover. Then object’s five orange-ish tint lights dimmed briefly and the diamond UFO just winked out and wasn’t seen again.”
In another sighting on Long Island in the town of Commack, NY, a resident was watching television when he noticed a bright light out of his living room window. He tells us that he went outside to his porch to get a better look and saw a bright diamond UFO traveling from North to South.
“It appeared to be about 1/16 the size of the moon.”
While he was watching the object, he was stunned to see a second diamond UFO following the first one he had seen.
“Both of the objects stopped, seemed to hover then suddenly went straight up and out of sight. The whole sighting last perhaps four minutes”
A study of National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) and Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) data suggests that Diamond UFO sightings were really quite rare until relatively recently.
Records prior to 1950 report virtually no diamond UFO sightings. The decades of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s sport sighting levels with an average of about two sightings per decade. Around the year 2001, diamond UFO sightings suddenly spiked to eight and leveled off to a little under a dozen per year.
Then in 2009, diamond UFO sightings rose substantially; these UFOs began appearing in New York Skies at a rate of about a dozen a year, as evidenced by the following chart.
At first this reporter thought this rise in sightings might be an artifact of reporting. After a quick analysis of other classes of UFOs, I determined that a variety of other types of UFOs were relative constant in numbers from year to year except for a gradual rising trend in overall sightings. So in my opinion, this large increase of diamond UFO sightings is a relatively recent occurrence and needs to be studied.
World sightings for diamond shaped UFOs have obviously been on the rise. But the story gets bigger when we begin looking at the global numbers. For example, the combined diamond UFO sightings reported to both the MUFON and NUFORC for 2014 total about 234 globally; giving New York State about 3% of the world diamond UFO sightings. I hope other investigators in the UFO research community will continue to monitor these increasing numbers.

McMinnville, Oregon - May 11, 1950: Two of the most notorious UFO photos of all time were taken on a farm near Mcminnville by a farmer named Paul A. Trent. Beyond many such cases, these two photos have withstood the test of time--through generations of researchers. It could be said that this case specified the boiling point for the heated ongoing debate over what qualifies as physical evidence--at least when it comes to the subject of UFOs.
Mrs. Trent was outside getting finished feeding her rabbits, when she noticed the large, disc-shaped object approaching from the northeast. She called out to Mr. Trent who joined her to look at the mystery device. After a few moments, he went back in the house to get his camera. He got back out and picked a spot to stand and took the first picture, then wound the film for the next picture. (That was typically a time consuming process with a 1950 box camera.) Several minutes later, he took the other.
In the meantime, Mrs. Trent called out to her in-laws on their porch, about 400 feet away. They didn't hear her, so she ran into the house to call them on the telephone. Mrs. Trent's mother-in-law didn't get to see it because it disappeared by the time she was off of the phone, but Mrs. Trent's father-in-law did catch a glimpse of it just before it disappeared in the west.
Mr. Trent waited to finish the roll of film before he got the pictures developed. They were displayed nearly a month later in a local bank. (The Trents' banker worked there.) A reporter named Powell, who worked for the McMinnville Telephone Register, saw the photos and convinced the Trents to let him publish their story and photographs. However, it did take a bit of coaxing because the Trent's feared they might get in some kind of trouble with the government.
The photographs and story wound up in the June 26, 1950 issue of Life, who borrowed the negatives from Powell. The Trents didn't get the negatives back for another 17 years. They were requested for examination by the Condon investigation in the late 1960's, and after that analysis was done, they were finally sent back to Mr. Trent.
The first people to examine the negatives found no signs of manipulation of the negative and no visible means of support for the UFO pictured, and so it has remained, for over half a century. No scientific study of this case has ever revealed anything that contradicts the witnesses or their fortunate photos. (NURMUFO)

On May 6, 1978, at about 4:15 p.m., something crashed into a mountain near El Taire on the Bermejo River, the border between the Bolivian province of Tarija and Argentina. Thousands of people saw this happening and later described the object as being cylindrical in shape with a flaming tail. It had caused a supersonic bang that was heard up to 150 miles away and that cracked windowpanes as far away as 30 miles in every direction. The next day, the papers were speculating on what had come down in that godforsaken place. The explanations ranged from meteorites to UFOs and belated reentry of some Apollo capsule. All of them referred to statements of eye witnesses.
Then it was announced that the Argentinian authorities had sent the 20th unit of the border police to the area in question to look for wreckage on their side of the border. The search in that mountainous country could last for weeks, so swarms of reporters went to the nearest big town, Aguas Blancas, to take up quarters there and await further developments, as well as to interview eyewitnesses in the town. And in fact, there were a number of witnesses who claimed to have seen the object. Most of them described it as oval or cylindrical and metallic. The army, too, seemed to be convinced that it was a UFO. Corporal Natalio Farfan Ruiz, the commandant of a small border police unit at the little village of La Marmora (800 inhabitants), confirmed the crash to Argentinian reporters saying: "It was about 4:30 p.m. when a cylindrical object made the earth tremble. Just imagine what would have happened if the UFO had fallen on the houses!" Policeman Juan Hurtado had also seen what had happened: "It looked like a gigantic wine container emitting a trace of white smoke. I saw it clearly. It flew directly above my head. I was on duty and at that moment was talking with three engineers from the mine in La Paz, when we saw the object crashing into the El Taire mountain. The impact was so strong that it threw me to the ground. The earth trembled at that moment."
Finally, the Bolivian Air Force sent three single-motored AT6 airplanes—a model from World War II—to the area and discovered the crash site on the southern slope of the El Taire mountain. Whereas the pilots found it impossible to land anywhere near it, the newspaper Clarin of Buenos Aires announced on May 14, that the object had been found. As proof, they quoted the police chief of Tarija: "Our men have discovered the object and inspected it, but have received no instructions for further action. It is a dull metallic cylinder twelve feet long with a few dents. No one knows what is inside it, and we are awaiting the arrival of various technical commissions. A NASA expert is also expected to arrive tomorrow morning."
As a matter of fact, no NASA expert came at Tarija.-Instead, two U.S. Air Force officers, Col. Robert Simmons and Maj. John Heise arrived. According to a newspaper, although these officers were officially on leave, they had been instructed to take the object to the United States in a Hercules C-130 transport machine, which was waiting for them at La Paz. When other newspapers made inquiries at the American Embassy regarding this secret mission of Simmons and Heise they were met with a denial. Only two years later, 5 relevant documents were released by the U.S. State Department: they revealed that Simmons and Heise had been assigned to the military attache of the U.S. Embassy in La Paz and did, in fact, fly to Tarija accompanied by an officer of the Bolivian Air Force, in connection with Project Moon Dust.
The first of these documents was a telex sent by the U.S. Ambassador in Bolivia, Paul H. Boeker, to the State Department. In that, he quoted newspaper reports and requested the department "to ask the relevant agencies whether they could explain what this object could be," adding "during the last week, more and more UFO reports are coming from this region." The answer was a telex classified "secret" dated May 18 in which the U.S. Secretary of State Cyrus Vance personally declared: "Preliminary information has been checked with appropriate government agencies. No direct correlation with known space objects that may have reentered the earth's atmosphere near May 6 can be made. However we are continuing to examine any possibilities."
He then referred the embassy to "State aerogram A-6343" of July 26, 1973, classified 'Secret,' "which provides background information and guidance for dealing with space objects. In particular any information pertaining to the pre-impact observations, direction of trajectory, number of objects observed, time of impact and detailed description, including any markings would be helpful." The next document was a "Moon Dust Message" of the office of the U.S. military attache, dated May 24, addressed to the Division for Foreign Technologies at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon, classified as "confidential NOFORN (No Forwarding To Foreign Nationals)." Under reference Moon Dust, the military attache at La Paz reported that "they had taken pains to verify the press reports. " In addition to that, they had asked the general staff of the Bolivian Air Force and the chiefs of the Bolivian Army who had declared—apparently after a first unsuccessful attempt— "we have sent search troops to the area in question but have found nothing. " The army came to the conclusion that there could have been an object there, or maybe not, but to date they had found nothing. The attache added that he would send two officials to Tarija and promised, "We will keep you informed if anything turns up. " These "two officials," we can assume, were Simmons and Heise.
Regrettably, no further reports concerning the Simmons-Heise expedition were released and, to get a picture of what happened, we are forced to rely on reports in the Argentinian press. Apparently, however, nobody came to the conclusion that a meteorite had hit the earth. At the world-famous Smithsonian Institution there is a data bank of scientific occurrences, or an "alarm network," that keeps track of every volcanic eruption, every earthquake and every meteorite collision since 1973 with painstaking accuracy. The data bank reveals no mention of a meteorite falling during May 1978 at the Bolivian-Argentinian border. The Air Force documents reveal that the 1127th field activities group, which coordinated Project Moon Dust, was interested in another task besides the recoveiy of UFO wrecks and other space objects, represented by the code name HUMINT. This code name, short for Human Intelligence, means the collection of information from human sources through clandestine undercover methods—in contrast to interrogations, reading through files and correspondence, etc. In other words, it meant the collection of information about UFOs from reliable sources through a game of deceit. The method which was chosen to achieve HUMINTs goals was so bizarre that nobody outside the UFO community would believe it. It was the birth of the "Men In Black," subject of a Hollywood blockbuster movie in 1997.

AN EXTRAORDINARY ENCOUNTER IN THE DANDENONG FOOTHILLS Bill Chalker, International UFO Reporter, Sept/Oct 1994, Vol 19, No 5
As a scientist I am always aware of the maxim that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. To date Mainstream UFO events have revealed some compelling evidence for their physical reality. The challenge for researchers has always been to determine if that evidence is consistent with an alien reality. Comparable evidence to support the reality of abduction events has been lacking Or relatively uncompelling.
In my two decades of research into Australian abduction claims, it has been difficult not to hold the position that abduction cases have perhaps told me more about the human condition than they have about UFOs. What follows, however, is a report On an affair which may amount to evidence for a reality behind abduction reports.
Kelly Cahill, a 27 -year-old housewife and mother of three children, is a pivotal figure in a remarkable episode which may have much to tell experiencers and researchers alike. She contacted me on October 4, 1993, seeking assistance in understanding a bizarre experience she underwent near the outer Melbourne suburban housing estate of Narre Warren North, in the foothills of the Dandenongs, Victoria, between Belgrave and Fountain Gate, during the early hours of August 8, 1993.
Kelly told me that apart from her husband with her in their car, she was aware of another vehicle farther down the hill from their own position. That car contained at least two persons, a man and a woman. She paid little heed to them at the time because she and her husband had their attention riveted on a massive UFO which had landed in the field opposite them.
Because Kelly lived in Victoria and I live in New South Wales, I passed details of Kelly's experience on to John Auchettl of Phenomena Research Australia (PRA) and urged Kelly to contact him. PRA got on the case immediately .
By November 17 PRA had located the man and woman Kelly had seen that night. It turned out that the couple also had a friend (a woman) with them. These witnesses took Auchettl to the encounter site, to a spot consistent with Kelly's description. The group's drawings of the UFO and entities also closely coincide with Kelly' s.
Here we have a striking situation. Two groups of persons unknown to each other have witnessed the same UFO encounter and entities. They also experienced missing time, and each group has been available to competent investigators. Independent witnesses have provided information which enable cross-checking and correlations to reveal a remarkable amount of similar information. The result is a compelling case for the reality of the strange events.described. The ontological status of the events is further strengthened by a range of apparently related physical traces, including ground traces, a magnetic anomaly, and effects on some of the witnesses.
What is perhaps even more extraordinary about this case is that the second group described seeing yet another car parked farther back down from them. In it was (it appeared) one male who seemed to be gazing fixedly toward the encounter site. So we have the situation of three cars present: Kelly and her husband in one near the top of a hill, the three-person group (Bill, Jan, and Glenda) another 150 meters down the hill, and the other car, with one visible occupant, about 25 to 30 meters farther back.
The first two cars were parked with their lights off. The other had its lights on. This circumstance may explain an apparent anomaly, in that Kelly was able to glance down and spot the second car, with what to her seemed only two persons (in fact three), but the group of three could not see Kelly, her husband, or their car. It was a dark and cloudy night. Evidently Kelly could see the second car only because it was backlit by the headlights of the third car.
From the trio' s testimony, investigators could determine the location of this third car. The male was looking at the UFO's position through a break in the vegetation cover. The trio's evidence coupled with Kelly' s allowed for triangulation of the encounter site with the UFO. The location was consistent with the anomalies discovered (to be discussed later). Unfortunately, this potential additional witness has yet to be found.
Typically witnesses to these sorts of events are known to each other, and such relationships often beg the question of whether the witnessed events have emerged from shared delusions or even collusion. Through Auchettl, Kelly became aware of the independent witnesses, but they knew nothing of her existence until quite recently. Kelly tried hard to persuade Auchettl to give her the other group' s names, but he refused because he wanted to maintain the integrity of the testimony. Only when the investigation was completed did the three learn what Kelly had been saying. So far they have not attempted to contact her. PRA has uncovered no evidence of a previous connection between the Cahills and the other group.
After the encounter Kelly' s recollection faded from conscious memory, despite animated discussions about it with her husband in the immediate wake of the incident. Her husband remembered at least the UFO encounter but not the entities and has not acknowledged the missing time. It was her husband' s reference to the August 8 event at a barbecue on September 16 that led to Kelly's initial confused attempts to reconcile this troubling situation. Kelly found this temporary amnesia along, especially since she has vivid memories going all the way back to age two.
Other events began to be seen in a different and bizarre perspective. These included a "dream" she had immediately after the encounter, upon getting home and going to sleep on August 8, and two "dreamings" in September. Each involved (apparently) the same entities as those encountered on the road. The latter two "dreamings" had a strange physical dimension. A further two "dreamings" followed, one on October 23 and the last during January 1994.
Alarmed, Kelly sought help with little success from universities and aviation authorities. The latter gave her two UFO contact numbers, one in Victoria and mine in Sydney.
After getting no satisfaction from the Victorian group, she contacted me, and after our preliminary discussion of her experience, the PRA investigation commenced.
What follows is the transcript of an interview Kelly gave to my associate Robb Tilley on March 21 of this year.
The details are consistent with those recounted to me on October 4, 1993, in numerous conversations with me since then, with the PRA investigation, and with a manuscript she is writing about her experience.
THE INCIDENT
My husband and I were driving to my girl friend's place up in the mountains. It was her daughter's . . . birthday.
It was just after dark, and we were nearly there, about half an hour from her place. It takes us about an hour and a half from our place. It was just after 7.
[The area has] little bits of field . . . and then you run right into a major shopping centre. . . .
My husband drives really fast. . . . I'm just busy looking out the window . It's turned dark, and I look over towards this field as we are going past, and I see a ring of orange lights. It was the first time I ever thought I had seen something that wasn' t normal. . . . I was going to shut my mouth. I thought, "No, he' s just going to have a go at me." But a couple of minutes up the road I said, "I swear I saw a UFO." He said, "Don't be stupid! It was probably a helicopter." I said, "It wasn't making any noise. It was just sitting on the ground. Anyway, after a few jibes at me, he forgot all about it, and we arrived at [my girl friend's place].
When we were there, my friends bring up this conversation, about what I thought I had seen. Her father says, "You think you've seen little green men or something, . Kelly?" and all this sort of stuff. It was turned into a joke, and I just totally forgot about it.
We went out and played bingo. We came back. We had a bit of a problem about what time we left. As far as my husband's concerned, because we got home at 2:30 in the morning, it means we must have left at one o'clock.
But that night I think we left at a quarter to 12. We got back from bingo at about 1 1, and we didn't stay for very long because [my friend's] daughter' s boy friend had just . . . split up with her and had gone home with the new girl friend . . . and she was really upset and crying, and we didn't want to stay. So we weren't there for that long at all.
THE ENCOUNTER BEGINS
Anyway, we were driving back down the road in the same stretch. Both of us,just me and my husband . . . we both saw this ring, mind you ... . in front of us, hovering above the road. It was just something sitting there. . . . I couldn't tell what it was. We were at first far away, but as you got closer to it was sort of . . . well, it wasn't like the orange light in the field. It was a round shape with some sort of glass around, or what looked like windows and lights around the bottom. Because it was dark, you couldn't really tell at first. But as we got closer and closer, there was no noise or anything.
Even my husband's going. "You're right! That's something. That's very, very strange." And I swear we saw people in there, and then just as I said to him, "I swear there's people in there," it just shot off to the left as fast as it could go. I mean it just disappeared. Within a split second it had gone.
We kept driving and about a kilometre ahead, all of a sudden, there's this really, really bright light in front of us, and I've got my hand up, up above my brow, to look out the window, because it's that bright, but I can't see anything.
I said to [my husband], "What are you going to do?" He said, "l'm going to keep driving." From there, that is the last we remembered until . . . I knew I was going to see a UFO, you know, I just knew, because of what we had seen, I'd seen it twice in one night and he had seen it once . . . and the adrenalin is pumping, the heart is thumping, I'm so excited. All of a sudden I'm sitting in the car, and I'm saying to my husband, "What happened?" And he says to me, "I don't know. We must have gone around a corner or something." By the time we got home, he was definite of everything, but at that time he didn't know what happened either. I said to him, "I swear I've had a blackout," because adrenalin just doesn't disappear in a split second like that. I mean your heart is going mad! And all of a sudden. . . .
One thing that really annoyed me was that I could smell vomit. I couldn't figure out where the smell of vomit was coming from.
I argue about this half the way home until it started getting ridiculous, and I ended up just shutting up to stop all the fighting that was going to come out of it, you know, because we fight like cats and dogs. . . .
As we were getting close to our home, about 20 minutes away from where we live (there was no one on the road), I saw a figure standing on the side of the road a tall dark figure. It was only for a couple of seconds, and I didn't relate it to anything until much later on at all. But it made me turn my head. I kept it in my mind, because it reminded me of a story I was told when I was a little girl about the headless horseman on the side of the road . . .because it was on the side of the road. It wasn't headless or anything,just this tall black figure. I saw it for only a couple of seconds, and then I couldn't see it anymore, but I thought I saw it.
POST ENCOUNTER FALLOUT
I get home. That night I actually had a dream about UFOs to top it all off, that something happened . . . but a whole lot of it went out of my head.
Kelly and her husband argued about what happened for part of the way home. They agree they saw a UFO but cannot agree on the feeling Kelly had of experiencing a blackout or missing time and seeing people. They also could both smell vomit. Each experienced unexplained stomach pain. For Kelly it was like a pain from severe muscle fatigue which radiated from her lower abdomen to the upper shoulders.
Later, after they got home, Kelly experienced menstrual bleeding and became quite ill. She had had her period only the week before. Eventually she entered the hospital with a womb infection. The doctors there said she must have been pregnant; either that, or she had had some kind of gynaecological operation. In fact, she had had neither in recent times. A strange triangular mark was also found on her abdomen along with a scar.
Kelly elaborated on these matters: But when I got home that night, that's when I found the triangular mark below my navel, with what I thought was a little laparoscopy cut, and I also started bleeding that night. Three and a half weeks later I ended up in hospital... . . [The hospital] actually did a laparoscopy, another laparoscopy. This was not when I first went in. I went back in later, another six weeks after that, because I had a lot of pains in my stomach and just wanted to have it checked to see what it was. And I still had the triangular mark there. . . .
They just did a blooming laparoscopy cut right next to it. [There was] no comment whatsoever. . . . I have a letter from a friend saying that she saw it.
CONSCIOUS RECOLLECTIONS
Kelly's recollections did not come from any hypnosis. Indeed she had only one session well after the main investigation had been completed. It failed to reveal anything of significance. Feeling that at best she had been only lightly under, she felt the session had been of little value.
With regard to the August 8 encounter, she recalls crossing the road to the paddock, seeing at first one tall black being with glowing red eyes, then many. These latter seemed to be approaching rapidly, as if gliding. The large group of tall black beings apparently were split into two groups, one focused on Kelly and her husband, the other one on the other people who had also crossed farther down the road. The rest of her recollection is largely confusing and fragmented. She experienced voices and blindness.
Kelly elaborated on how her memory came back: We went down to a girl friend's place a little bit later, a few weeks later, and the subject of UFOs came up, and her husband was saying, "Oh, I don't think they really exist." It was my husband that said, "If you had seen what Kelly and I saw, you might change your mind." I said, "What are you talking about?" You know, if I'd seen something, I'd have remembered it. I didn't even remember that I had seen it hovering in the middle of the road. It had been totally blanked out of my mind. And I search my head for days, because I knew he wouldn't say something if he didn't mean it. He was telling me, "Remember, on the way home from [your girl friend's], remember, it wasn't making any noise?" And I was just sitting there. I couldn't remember it.
And a few days later, all of a sudden I remembered it! It hit me! And .. . . then I remembered going into the light, and then I couldn't remember anything else. A couple of weeks after that, this started to really bug me, because I remembered that light, and I remember arguing with him all the wayhome, but it was all I did remember.
I went up to [my girl friend's] house again in October, this time for her other daughter's . . .birthday, and again we went to bingo. On the way home from bingo that night, we went along the same road, and as we passed a certain spot I just got this incredible feeling of terror go through me, I mean absolute terror. All of a sudden I just started remembering, and by the next morning I had remembered just about everything that happened, except there's still missing time that I can't.
What we had actually done, we had driven . . . into the light, but the road curved, and the light we had thought was in front of us was actually to our right-hand side. It was in the field, and it was massive. . . . [Estimates put the possible diameter of the UFO at the "size of a house" or perhaps close to 5O meters.] So it was very big.Why I knew it was very big was because we could have driven for five minutes. The road sort of wound around this part.
You could have driven for five minutes and not had it out of your sight the whole time.
Kelly and her husband had a clear, uninterrupted view of a craft of enormous size. It was much larger than the UFO seen a few minutesearlier, and it was at ground level in the field at the bottom of a gully area.
I asked him to stop the car, and we both got out. I remembered leaning back in, actually on the floor, to pick up my handbag, because I didn't go anywhere without my handbag. And that' s one of the sort of things that triggered off a lot of these memories doing that. The other thing was telling myself, "You are conscious. This is real! This is happening! This is real!". . . .
For a while it was just absolutely terrifying, but you can't help it because it sounds really wacky. I mean this is not the way it's supposed to happen at all. . . .
We crossed over the road. We jumped the gutter, and we walked up. . .I looked down the road, and there was another car-a light blue car-pulled up. Some people got out and went across the road. I only thought it was two, but it was actually three, but I didn' t pay much attention. They must have been at least a hundred meters down the road from us. When you've got something like that in front of you, and you' we got people down the road . . . well, I was more interested in what was in front of me than them, so I didn't get any detail. . . .
I'm standing there, and we are looking at this thing [for about 3O seconds]. All of a sudden there is a black figure on the field. It's about seven foot tall. . . . I knew it was really tall at the time.
For Kelly this was quite startling. She expected to see a human being, but this was not human. Kelly tried to use thought as a means of communication. She was immediately overwhelmed with fear. Its eyes seemed to turn to a red fire.
At the distance of about 150 meters, they possessed an extraordinary luminosity .
It started coming towards us, only slowly, and it had big red eyes. It sounds stupid, but it had great big round red eyes, like huge flies' eyes and they were red like, not like a reflection of red, but like burning red, like . . . fluorescent stop lights, I suppose, that sort of real burning red.
All of a sudden I started screaming out [to my husbands. . . . Now this has really got me baffled because of the fact that a human being doesn't know this, so I don't even know how I came out with this, but I started saying, "They've got no souls." And then I started screaming, "THEY'VE GOT NO SOULS!" Then all of a sudden there were heaps of them in the field, not just one, a whole heap of them, and they started coming towards us . . . faster than a man could run, and they were gliding off the ground. They got halfway across the field.
They split up. Some of them went towards the other people [two or three, Kelly thought]. and some of them [the rest] came towards us. Kelly found herself screaming to the other people down the road, "They're evil! They're going to kill us!"
The next thing I know, I felt this oomph! in my stomach, right across here like I was winded, but I was thrown right back, and I was on my back on the ground. I sat up, with my head between my knees. Here, I'm trying to stay conscious. I couldn't see. My eyes. . . . It was all black.
.. . . I'm screaming out to [my husband]. . . .
Kelly speculated that her "winding" may have been caused by an electric fence present at the site. That may or may not be true. The fence may not even have been on at the time. Even if it was, the power may not have been strong enough to generate the effect she described. Nonetheless this possibly prosaic incident led her into confusion over whether the forces she was confronting were "good" or "evil."
But the next thing I heard him saying, "Let go of me." His voice was all sort of cracked up with fear, and I'd never heard that from my husband. He's not frightened or afraid of anything. . . .
Then this male voice said, "We [don't] mean you any harm." And then he said, "Why did you hit Kelly then?" That's the last I heard of [my husband]. No one else talked except me. I heard the male voice. Then I heard myself saying, "Oh, God, I'm going to be sick." I've got my head between my knees, and I just felt, like, violently nauseous. Then I must have blacked out for a little while.
I don't remember being sick. Then I remember hearing talk about being a peaceful people, and I started screaming out, I said, "Don't believe them! They're going to steal your souls!" I know it sounds so ridiculous now, but at the time I was hysterically terrified. . . . I had never felt terror like that. Not even in my worst nightmares had I experienced terror like that. . . .
Oh, there's one thing I remember that he said: "I wouldn't harm her. She's my daughter." Now when I first saw the-on the way up to [my girl friend's] in the field, the first thing I did was pray. And I took it as sarcasm straight away. And it sounded like sarcasm. . . .
It sounded like there was even a small laugh after that. I don't know-it just wasn't good to me.
For Kelly, a strong faith in God often involved an ability to get answers to many of life's situations, albeit sometimes in the most subtle and unlikely ways. For her the brief observation of a possible UFO on the way to her girl friend's place on August 7 was perhaps a glimpse of one of life's mysteries, perhaps even a lesson from God. So she made a silent prayer which began with "Father." She thought for a moment, "Wait for me. I'll be back down this way in a few hours." To put this in context, it should be pointed out that Kelly had long been on a spiritual quest, anchored in a religious journey and a desire to understand the great mysteries.
Though she had little time for organized religions, she had a deep interest in the great religious works and had studied them, particularly the Bible, in great detail. Therefore, given her brief prayer for clarification of the nature of the UFO event on the way up to her friend, as well as the use of the word Father, she got a sense of "mockery" when she heard the voice saying, "She is my daughter."
Anyway, I started screaming and going on about demons trying to steal people's souls. . . . I like not to admit that it came from my mouth, but it did. . . . But I'm going to tell it the way it is.
Next thing I hear him saying, "Would somebody do something about .her?" And I felt a hand . . . touch my shoulder. It wasn't hard. It was quite gentle.That's when I absolutely cracked! I'm still sitting on the ground, and I couldn't see a thing, but I made sure that my eyes were just fierce. . . . Something snapped in me. Before that I was crying. All of a sudden something snapped in me, and I got so angry . Then I started screaming out, "How dare you do this to these innocent people?" Like it was my fault. Because I was on a big spiritual search, and I really got the impression that it was my fault. And I thought, why involve other people?. . . I felt like, almost like there was a fight for me. Like it was something I had to do. . . .
Anyway, I started screaming out stupid things, told them to go back where they came from. Next thing I remember I was sitting in the car. I've still got missing time.
When she found herself sitting in the car, her last memory was of driving into the light.
THE DREAM OF AUGUST 8, 1993
Once she was home and asleep, the night brought a bizarre dream. This dream is of interest in that it emerged within hours of the encounter and it places Kelly back in the encounter. The subsequent "dreamings" do not have this quality about them. Nonetheless they were unusual in their own way, for reasons that will shortly be apparent.
In the August 8 dream she is on the side of the road with her head between her knees. She becomes aware that she can see again. A being is leading her husband down the slope onto the field. Throughout the dream she is unable to see the beings above the level of their elbows. Their limbs seem long and thin.
Inexplicably convinced that the being with her husband is female, she tackles it and then blacks out. In the dream she once again regains consciousness to find herself on the extreme right of the field with the UFO further down the field to the left. Before her on the ground is a still body, at first nonhuman, then changing to human. A middle-aged woman standing further down the field is screaming at her, "Murderess! Murderess!" She is overcome with grief with no awareness of having killed anyone.
Still in the dream, a hand on her shoulder leads her, and she follows obediently. Eventually Kelly becomes aware that she is in a small room, with only a small table and a being standing before her. The being tells her she did not kill anyone and they had to use her sense of morality to overcome her fear. Kelly has a profound feeling that she knows this being. On a table behind the being is a Bible, one of hers, which had disappeared a few weeks before. The being gives Kelly a strange choice which deepens her suspicion of the beings' motives. She is told she can come but must leave the Bible behind. In the dream the being gives her this Bible.
The dream ends at that point. A few days after the encounter, her husband found the Bible in the car.
The "dreamings" mentioned earlier, first interpreted as something like a ghostly episode, take on a bizarre perspective when Kelly's recollections flooded back. The first two preceded the point when more complete recall of the events of August 8 returned.
THE "DREAMINGS"
The first started with a presence which warns her to be calm. Then a frightening "sucking" sensation begins as if something is being taken from her. She comes out of the dream terrified and is confronted by a tall black figure in a floor length hooded cloak, about seven feet tall, with glowing red eyes. She screams, and the being disappears.
Initially Kelly interpreted the being as like a "soul vampire" or the Grim Reaper. At the time she did not place this incident in a UFO context, since the memories had yet to resurface.
In the second "dreaming" she experiences her legs being lifted and drawn out of the bed. She wakes and once again finds the same or similar being present, but this time the cloak obscures the eyes.
When after I did remember it, I had another dream, and these dreams seemed very physical. I know I'm dreaming, and I've got to wake up out of them. . . .
In this particular one, I felt as if my legs were being pulled off the bed, and it was like I was paralysed from my waist down, and my legs were being pulled over to the side; yet I could almost use the top of my body. Then I'm grabbing a pillow, trying to hit my husband, to wake him up. . . . I'm fighting this. I'm not going to let this thing drag me off the bed by my legs. Then I woke up and saw it standing there again! This time the hood covered the eyes, and it didn't scare me. . . . I was still terrified, but it didn't scare me quite as much, because each time it scared me, it was that same power like I felt out in the field that night.
When I was sitting on the ground, it was like something, almost like a frequency or a sound vibration or something. And it's getting right into my head! And I couldn't get it together. Like I was trying to get my logical thoughts together, not logical, almost conscious thoughts, and I was fighting it the whole time, which is probably why I seemed to remember more than my husband or even the other people.
The third "dreaming" occurred at a friend' s place on October23 (see front cover). By then Kelly had experienced the flood of recollections. The two earlier "dreamings" took on an added significance, especially given the presence of the beings after Kelly had awakened from her "dreamings." This time she wakes from a "dreaming" which seems to take the form of a "peak experience" (as psychologist Abraham Maslow calls it; Richard Maurice Bucke defined it as the sense of"cosmic consciousness"). She sees apparently the same creature as before; but unlike earlier manifestations, it is naked and leaning over her as if about to kiss her navel area. It is tall, with a head much larger than normal, long and thin arms, with an abdomen out of proportion to its thin frame, like a child's stomach suffering from malnutrition.
Its skin is like gray-black plasticine. Kelly's screams turn into an "uninterrupted stream of hysteria" and words.
In the morning she insisted that her husband check under the car. She had heard a distinct voice during the night urging such a check. He ignored her request, but their car subsequently suffered such a problem.
Numerous other "psychic" events and "electrical disturbances" followed. Frequently their car started up when no one was inside it. The vehicle had a kill switch which rendered these events even more startling and curious. Kelly thought she had developed enhanced psychic powers. The electrical events apparently ended in January 1994, as did many of the psychic incidents.
The fourth "dreaming" occurred in January of this year.
In the dream the bathroom light is blown. There is a sense of presence. Something persistently tries to grab Kelly's right hand. Eventually she lets her hand be taken. Immediately she wakes up. Once again the creature in the black robe is standing by her bedside. It goes away. It turned out that the light had indeed blown and that diamond and sapphire rings .she wore on her right hand had disappeared. To date they have not been found.
OTHER MATTERS
Other, earlier episodes, experiences, and issues of possible significance: . From July through September 1993 small orange fireballs, about the size of tennis balls, frequently hit the windows of the house. Kelly, her husband, and her mother witnessed the phenomena.
o About two and a half years earlier, at Lalor, Kelly had a peculiar dream in which she moved through a flesh-like hourglass apparatus. The same night she experienced a "vision" of opening their back door and seeing a light for a few seconds. Then she blacked out. Kelly experienced the same sense of power she felt in the field in August 1993.
o After the encounter and until July 1994, the Cahill house (built in 1949) had been the scene of fleeting observations of tall "shadows," seen by both Kelly and her husband.
o A bad smell occasionally permeated the house and seemed to move around.
THE OTHER WITNESSES
If the August 8 encounter had revolved only around Kelly, it could be argued that the experience may have been some sort of psychological episode. But the presence of other witnesses - a married couple and their friend, plus a possible other observer in a third car-forcefully argues for a real encounter. Indeed, the PRA contends that the focus of the incident was not Kelly but the two other women.
As in Kelly' s situation, the females in the other group seemed to play a dominant role. Bill, the male witness in the trio, appears, like Kelly's husband, to have had only limited involvement. The two women consciously recalled onboard episodes. They remembered the UFO and the tall black beings. Their description did not feature the red eyes Kelly saw.
For the trio the experience apparently started when they approached the site. All three could hear a strange noise and suddenly felt ill. Bill thought he was going to faint. He lost control of the car and ran off the road, striking a pole. After checking for damage, they drove off. A few minutes later a speeding car with its high beams on shot past them. Then another passed. They came to a bridge with a sharp turn following it almost immediately. Farther along this section the trio stopped. As all this was going on, Bill's vision was impaired. Obviously he had Some type of vision as he was driving, but he was unable to remember seeing the UFO. The two women with him recall the UFO clearly, and their descriptions closely match Kelly's.
In some unexplained manner Bill was isolated from the central experience. He has conscious recall of smells and sounds and remembers that a lot of activity was going on. He does not recall seeing anything. He subsequently underwent hypnosis, which expanded his apparent recollections to seeming onboard components, but once again these were through the senses of smell and hearing only.
The two women did not think of theirs as an "abduction" experience. They felt as if they had exercised free will all through it. Yet the principal element of their onboard experience was a form of examination-not, however, visually remembered. Other parts of their onboard experience exist in visual images and conscious memory. Hypnosis in their cases appears to have only reinforced what they recall already.
The entities did not speak and provided very little information. Neither woman saw the other or any of the others while in the alien environment presumably aboard the UFO. Curiously, each was still aware of what was happening to her companion, ostensibly through psychic means.
The trio apparently did not have the complex background experiences described by Kelly. Their experience seem limited only to the August 8 encounter.
There is also some physical evidence. PRA found a possible related ground trace and low-level magnetic anomaly at the encounter site.
COMMENT
Kelly has gone on to write her own account of the experience and its difficult aftermath. In October 1994 John Auchettl and PRA, whose investigative thoroughness is to be commended, released a comprehensive report on the affair. In this emotionally explosive area it is easy for people to get caught up in less than satisfactory situations while they attempt to understand extraordinary experiences. I hope this event and the documentation that flows from it will be of some help to others in similar situations.
The victims of these experiences must not be unrealistically encouraged by advocates of an alien presence; nor, at the other extreme, should they be ridiculed by the sceptical among us. They should be helped to deal with their experiences, whether those experiences turn out to be prosaic or profound in origin. The second part of this report will review the PRA report and examine in detail the accounts of the other group of witnesses. It will also consider the physical evidence and provide reflections on the nature and meaning of this event.
Update (12/6/02) The Cahill case, PRA & openness:
It should be noted that the above "comment" in the 1994 IUR report was prepared on the assumption that the "PRA comprehensive report on the affair" was about to be released. Despite nearly a decade passing, John Auchettl and PRA have not released their report other than a few fragments of information.
As the researcher responsible for passing Kelly Cahill onto PRA in the first place, principally because I am NSW based and the incident occurred in Victoria, I have to say now that that decision was, in hindsight, a mistake.
My comment in my 1994 IUR report: "John Auchettl and PRA, whose investigative thoroughness is to be commended", was based entirely on conversations with Auchettl and discussions with Kelly Cahill at the time (1993-1994), and in retrospect should have been qualified more accurately. While Auchettl & PRA may well have been thorough in their investigation, in reality there has been no way to absolutely verify this, because of their unwillingness to release their report and data on the case. PRA have offered some seemingly unusual and convoluted explanations for this lack of sharing.
I have long encouraged openness and sharing in UFO research (my web site is in part an expression of my position on this matter). My attempts to encourage PRA in this direction, from my perspective, have been very disappointing, and have instead lead me to not to refer cases to John Auchettl and PRA. Unless PRA changes their apparent lack of transparency and openness, researchers and witnesses should carefully consider the wisdom of cooperating with Phenomena Research Australia (PRA).
