A vital aspect whe schould try to obtain from the EASA is the need for AIR SAFETY raisons to try to
obtain thad EASA could introduce the I.M.C RATING to be included in the EASA PILOT RATINGS
for the 27 EU-memberstates
I recal myself thad in the " SIXTIES" when I was actif as pilot on behave for SOTRAMAT to collect
the newly built CESSNA's 172 at the REIMS-PRUNAI airfield !!
One day not been abel to depart due to weather conditions I spent the nicht at REIMS CITY in a hotel
an the railway station and made for the first time with RON CAMBELL
Out of this very intresting conversation and the folow up was I convinced of the validity of the UK-
IMC rating project and via AOPA-USA was involved in the introduction of aditional training for the
young PPL of the AOPA 360
In function of MY EXPERIENCE the UK-IMC RATING is a vital project for the SAFETY of the
VFR opêrating PPL
