ABI SAFETY

TAKE OFF PROCEDURE ???

Recently I receive a number of request of information about the utulisation of INTERSECTION TAKE-OFF

In function of the present attention on the limitation of noise and also out of SAFETY at TO-OFF do I advise to utulise alway"s the maximum RUNWAY for TAKE-OFF.

I ame aware of the present tendency by PILOTS and OWNERS to reduce the taxi time and for minimum RUNWAY OCCUPENCY time to request intersection times............ BUT

Do not forget thad the SAFETY is the responsablity of the PIC, and in case of a problem during TAKE-OFF it is always usefull to have the maximum RUNWAY avaible and to have the MAXIMUM HEIGTH above non HOSTILE TERRAIN after TAKE OFF

I are aware thad the SRC at EASA has been looking at this aspect of SAFETY ans ENVIROMENTAL requirements.
