     I was present at the UNHABITED AERONAUTICAL VEHICLE  meeting in HQ

    EUROCONTROL in BRUSSELS  on  MAY 6;7 and 8.


    This activity organised by  EADS  and UVSI  under the denomination UAS WORKSHOP  with a

    participation of about 400 persons over the three days, revealed a lot of intresting information witch

    is avaible via the  WWW.EUROCONTROL.INT  and  WWW.EADS.NET

    The vital point to note is the fact thad the use of  UAV  will only be possible as this devices can

    satisfy on the same requirementts of any other AIRSPACE USER be it in IFR or in VFR

    OPERATIONS  in the ICAO KLASS AIRSPACE A,B,C,D,E,F,G .

    Apaerently the military UAV are very advanced to operate in the OAT  and the civilian hope very

    soon to have the LEGAL and TECHNICAL possiblity to operate in IFR in the A,B and C

    AIRSPACE .

    Of cours the operation in SEGREGATED AIRSPACE is always a possiblity via publications in the
     
    AIP or via NOTAM.

    The operations in the other AIRSPACE  D,E,F and G is still not in vieuw as long they can not satisfy

    the SENSE & AVOID ( SEE & AVOID) in the VFR OPERATIONS

    In certain country the very light weight ( 9 Kgr) can operate in VFR operation at very low altitude by

    some STATE AUTHORITY and in  LOSV and via a NOTAM ( to be verified)

     Also note thad at ICAO level there is a group working on this subject in witch IAOPA HQ via MR
     
    HOFMAN is involved as leading the UAV-PILOT LICENSE requirements and training programme.

    Intresting was the personnel briefing I received of the record on the GAF license for UAV( military) ,
     
    the system and the operations aplication, witch is also proposed toward the civilian authority for the

    civilian UAV operations


    The official denomination now seems to be;  UAS = UNMANNED VEHICLE SYSTEM


    The UVSI  from witch MR PETER van BLYENBURGH is the cairman is preparing the UVSI

    ANNUAL REPORT in witch there is a CD-ROM avaible with 1000 UAS who are operating at

    GLOBAL LEVEL  PVB@UVS-INFO.COM

    Voor de SENIOREN deze UAS zijn LUCHTVAARTUIGEN waar er geen PILOOT aan boord van het toestel is  en welk heden reeds zeer sterk in gebruik zijn voor de oorlogsvoering in verschillende streken deze zijn tussen toestellen van enkele gram en toestellen van enkele ton ( Vermoedelijk 20.000 kgr of 20 Ton) maar dat moet ik verder uitpluizen men voorziet zulke toestellen ook in burgergebruik in 20XX !!!
