Poulter's defection to Labour questioned by Chris Philp

The government's record on the NHS has been defended by Policing Minister Chris Philp, after another Tory MP cited concerns over the health service for his defection to Labour.

Dr Dan Poulter said he could not look his NHS colleagues and patients in the eye and stay on as a Conservative MP.

Mr Philp told Laura Kuenssberg contrasted the NHS in Wales, where Labour is in power with falling waiting lists in England and said that "clearly people do feel grumpy with the government", but he was confident support for his party would increase in an election.
