Two women found unconscious at Worm's Head, Rhossili

Two women were airlifted to hospital after being found unconscious at a beauty spot on the Gower Peninsula.

Loughor Coastguard was called to Rhossili beach to help search for two missing women on Monday evening.

They were found "unconscious and in need of immediate medical assistance".

The Coastguard rescue helicopter picked up the casualties, both in their early 20s, at Worm's Head and they were flown to Morriston Hospital in Swansea where they are recovering.

South Wales Police said it received a call about two vulnerable women at about 19:00 GMT on Monday and its officers attended, along with the Coastguard and Air Ambulance.
