Woman stabbed in Kilburn street attack

A woman is being treated in hospital for stab wounds after being attacked on a street in Kilburn, north-west London.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm over the incident, which happened on Kilburn High Road soon after midday.

The Met Police said a man in his 50s suffered a slash wound to his hand. Neither his nor the woman's injuries are described as life-threatening.

Some roads in the area remain closed as police investigate the crime scene.

Detectives have said they believe the injured man and woman are known to each other.

The suspect, who is also suspected of possessing an offensive weapon, was taken to hospital as a precaution and is now in police custody, a Met spokesperson said.
