Portadown: Three treated for smoke inhalation after house fire

A man and two women have been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following a house fire in Portadown in County Armagh.

Firefighters were sent to the blaze in Watson Street shortly after 07:00 BST on Friday.

Six appliances and an aerial appliance were deployed from Portadown, Lurgan, Armagh, Banbridge, Dromore and Belfast.

Crews used breathing apparatus and water jets, according to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

The three casualties, who are all aged in their 20s, were out of the house before fire crews arrived.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received at 999 call at 07:06 BST and it sent two ambulance crews and a rapid response paramedic to the incident.

None of the patients were taken to hospital.
