The farmer turning animal hides into trainers

Andy Rumming explains the process of creating shoes

"The meat’s got a great story and so why shouldn’t the hides and the leather share that story as well?" says beef farmer Andy Rumming.

He offers workshops where people can make their own leather trainers from leftover animal hides.

Each participant is given a kit, then they cut the leather, fit the eyelets and sew everything together.
