Hannah Rankin hinted at retirement following a second successive split-decision defeat.

Fighting for the WBA continental light-middleweight title, the 33-year-old Scot came up short against Naomi Mannes at Liverpool's Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park.

In just her 10th professional bout, the 29-year-old German scored 77-75 and 79-74 with two judges, while another made it 77-76 to Rankin.

"I’m going to take a break," Rankin wrote on X.

"Congrats to Naomi Mannes and thanks to the massive support from Scotland, sponsors and supporters.

"21 pro fights, 2 world titles, boxed all over the world... if that’s the end it’s been one hell of a ride."

Rankin has 13 career wins and eight losses, with her previous defeat coming against Ema Kozin in Manchester in November.
