Dylan Thomas: Could legions of Swifties become new fans

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has name-dropped one of the UK's most well-renowned poets on her latest album.

"You’re not Dylan Thomas. I’m not Patti Smith. This ain’t the Chelsea Hotel. We’re modern idiots," she sung on the title track of album The Tortured Poets Department.

Thomas, who died in New York aged 39 in 1953, is perhaps Wales' best-known writer, with one of his most famous works being the radio play Under Milk Wood.

BBC Wales has spoken to the residents of Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, where Thomas lived for a time, to see what they made of the reference.
