HOE EEN COMPOSTVAT OPSTARTEN Starten in het voorjaar. Zoek een zonnige plek in je tuin, leg 9 voetpad tegels van ( 30 op 30 ) 3 rijen van 3 en 2 centimeters van elkaar, dit is voor de verluchting en voor het overtollig vocht dat goed weg kan. U plaatst het compostvat, doe er houtsnippers in 15 centimeter dik( dit is heel belangrijk om de gaatjes die in de bodem van het compostvat zitten niet kunnen toeslippen ) nu kan je uw groenten, fruit, en tuinafval er in doen, ( dit noemen we G.F.T. ) Hoe kleiner hoe sneller het werkt. Regelmatig verluchten met de verluchtingshaak, die kan je bij uw compostvat aanschaffen.Dit is een haak die je om de paar weken op verschillende plaatsen in je compostvat steekt, een kwartslag gedraaid en er vervolgens weer uit wordt getrokken. hierdoor wordt alles opgeschut en zorg je ook voor verluchting. Na enkele maanden heb je, je eerste compost. Veel sucses
