Erik was als jonge ruiter tijdens de Metallo-betogingen van zijn paard getrokken en op een paaltje gevallen gevolg dwarslaesie en rolstoel.

Werkte na herstel in Dist Turnhout AIK.

Jeune cavalier, Erik a été désarçonné lors des démonstrations de Metallo et est tombé sur un poteau, ce qui a entraîné une lésion de la moelle épinière et son utilisation d'un fauteuil roulant.

Après sa convalescence, il a travaillé à l'AIK du district de Turnhout.
