Pakistaanse Malala gaat miljoenen verdienen met boek
Het Pakistaanse schoolmeisje Malala Yousafzai gaat een boek publiceren dat haar miljoenen zal opleveren. Dat meldt de BBC. Ze heeft een contract getekend ter waarde van bijna 2,4 miljoen euro.
De 15-jarige activiste, die campagne voert voor meisjesonderwijs, zegt dat het boek haar eigen verhaal gaat vertellen en dat van miljoenen anderen die niet de kans krijgen om naar school te gaan. Het boek heet 'I am Malala' en verschijnt in het najaar.
Malala werd in oktober in een Pakistaanse schoolbus in haar hoofd geschoten door de taliban. De jonge activiste overleefde de aanslag ternauwernood. Ze onderging operaties in een ziekenhuis in Birmingham en herstelde grotendeels. Inmiddels gaat ze naar school in Engeland. (br.hln)
