Ringo Starr comes to the Rockhal on 4 July 2018
For eight years, Ringo Starr was one of the famous Fab Four and revolutionised music with a little help from his friends.
Ringo Starr, a legend in the music business, is back on the road at the age of 77. On 4 July, 2018 he will be performing at the Rockhal concert hall in Esch-Belval.
While Ringo Starr is best known for being the drummer (and occasional singer) for the Beatles, he hasn't been idle in the decades since the famous band broke up. With his unique style and technique, his solo career has often been slightly overlooked. Nevertheless, the former Beatles drummer has racked up an astounding 19 studio albums and 10 live records in the time after Beatlemania. While recording new and original songs, he has never stopped playing his favourite Beatles-tracks.
The member of the "Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame", who was only recently knighted by the Queen, compiled his band of new and old colleagues and called them the "All Starrs".
He regularly performs Beatles evergreens like "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Litte Help from my Friends", just some of the songs he recorded as a singer for the Beatles. The "All Starrs" include well-known talents such as former Santana keyboarder Gregg Rolie and Greg Bissonnette who used to play the drums for the band Toto.
Six musicians join Ringo on stage: Guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto, bass player Graham Gouldman of 10cc and drummer, saxophone player and keyboarder Warren Ham, who already performed with the likes of Cher. Australian guitarist and singer Colin Hay of Australian band Men at Work, who also joins Ringo Starr on his tours, said that only a legendary musician such as Starr could have brought together an All Star band such as this.
His colleagues, and Ringo's fans, are in agreement that he is one of the world's greatest drummers.
"Peace, Love and Rock’n Roll" is the mantra for Ringo Starr's tour across Europe and Luxembourg's biggest stage has not been snubbed. On 4 July, Ringo and his All Starrs will be gracing the Rockhal stage.
