HD (16:9) resolution begins at:1280x720

720p (1280x720)

1080i (1920x1080)

1080p (1920x1080) television transmission in this format are not for now

Progressive or Interlaced

For interlaced the odd and even lines are refreshed alternatively

For progressive scan all lines at once are refreshed

Label "HD ready" Logo

must be conform to the next three points:

è Min 720 Horizontal lines and 720p and 1080i at 50 and 60 Hz

è Anolog component Input like Y/PB/PR

è dvi and/or hdmi Input

       with hcdp protection

Loss of 48 Lines

The most screens That are used have resolution of :

1366X768 pixels (this because production cost is less)

The 48 lines who are to much are not used .

DVI / HDMI / HDCP

DVI = Digital Visual Interface

(also used with graphic cards and Monotors)

HDMI = High Definition Multimedia Interface

difference with DVI is that HDMI has also audio transport

DVI and HDMI are with the help of an adapter compatible

HDCP = High Definition digital content protection
