Situation in 1941. 68 German soldiers were on the Ehrenfriedhof. In october 1942 Mr. Cordier and Ms. Holvoet-Boddin had to sell a part of their property to enlarge the Ehrenfriedhof. All German soldiers fallen in the surroundings of de Schelde in 1940 (see also my pages of the British soldiers on a lot of graveyards around de Schelde) were brought together in Ronse. (478 names) In august 1948 a number of 513 German soldiers were taken to the German cementery in Lommel by the Service Identification and Cementeries of the Ministry Department of Home Affaires
between this trees (who where not there in 1940) I can situate the provisional grave of Hans Friedrich , born on the 13-04-1887 in Annaberg-Buchholz , fallen in Oudenaarde the 20-05-1940. Now his grave can be found in the Kriegsgräberstätte in Lommel (blok 25 grab 159)
