PORT HURON -- Mr. Gerald David Landschoot, 72, of Port Huron, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 in Mercy Hospital. He was born January 13, 1932 in Marysville to the late Frank and Eva Landschoot. He married Alice Gosnell on September 18, 1964 in Port Huron. Mr. Landschoot was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church; Marysville Council #9526 Knights of Columbus; was a member and strong advocate of the ARC of St. Clair County; and a former member of St. Clair County Allied Veterans Firing Squad. Served in Korea. He is survived by his wife, Alice; a daughter, Ella Mae Landschoot; two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Marge) Landschoot of Port Huron and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Landschoot of Fort Gratiot; four sisters, Helen Hills, Dorothy McFarlane, all of Port Huron, Annie Lukasek of Holt and Mr. and Mrs. John (Lucy) Shimmel of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Robert and Peter Landschoot. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Mr. Landschoot will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Gerald Britz will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of St. Clair County Allied Veterans. Source: The Times Herald Port Huron
