Ever since PREHISTORICAL TIMES up to the present man has always hacked, piled up, carved and coloured stones. The earliest SCULPTURES were, for the greater part welldefined by the natural shape of the stone, and the authors were satisfied by a few sketchy outlines that gave them the suggestion of a SYMBOLIC FIGURE. My work also preserves the alignment of a simple orderly line and through a comparison with the ROUGH HACKED VENUS of the old STONE-AGE it has fullfilled a complete circular course - from SYMBOLISM through NATURALISM and REALISM back to SYMBOLISM. This work illustrates a few different approximations to come to a creation with simple BOULDERS and WANDERSTONES. How different the objectives and the results might be in each of these SCULPTURES ar left unchanged the PRIMITIVE FORMS that nature produced.
