Gitarist verlaat Editors, band speelt wel op Rock Werchter
Gitarist Chris Urbanowicz verlaat Editors, maar de band laat wel meteen weten dat de optredens op Rock Werchter en Arras daardoor niet in gevaar komen. De band uit Birmingham is momenteel met producer Flood bezig in de studio aan z'n vierde langspeler.
Het gaat volgens Editors om een artistiek conflict en het scheiden met Urbanowicz "gebeurt in alle vriendschap".
"In a decision entirely based upon future musical direction, and with huge sadness, Editors and Chris Urbanowicz have parted ways. In 10 years we've gone from playing tiny clubs in Birmingham to selling out massive shows across the globe as four friends together so this was a massively painful decision for all of us to make" aldus de band in een persrelease. "We wish Chris the best of luck in his future endeavours, and expect you all to do the same. The parting is amicable, and however sad things are right now we all hope we'll continue to be friends for many years to come."
De resterende bandleden, Tom Smith, Russell Leetch en Edward Lay, zeggen ook nog "super excited" te zijn over wat hun vierde plaat gaat worden.(br.hln)
