RINGO STARR & his All Starr Band at the Rockhal in Luxemburg
For eight years, Ringo Starr was one of the famous Fab Four and revolutionised music with a little help from his friends.
Ringo Starr, a legend in the music business, is back on the road at the age of 77. On 4 July, 2018 he will be performing at the Rockhal concert hall in Esch-Belval.
While Ringo Starr is best known for being the drummer (and occasional singer) for the Beatles, he hasn't been idle in the decades since the famous band broke up. With his unique style and technique, his solo career has often been slightly overlooked. Nevertheless, the former Beatles drummer has racked up an astounding 19 studio albums and 10 live records in the time after Beatlemania. While recording new and original songs, he has never stopped playing his favourite Beatles-tracks.
The member of the "Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame", who was only recently knighted by the Queen, compiled his band of new and old colleagues and called them the "All Starrs".
He regularly performs Beatles evergreens like "Yellow Submarine" and "With a Litte Help from my Friends", just some of the songs he recorded as a singer for the Beatles. The "All Starrs" include well-known talents such as former Santana keyboarder Gregg Rolie and Greg Bissonnette who used to play the drums for the band Toto.
Six musicians join Ringo on stage: Guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto, bass player Graham Gouldman of 10cc and drummer, saxophone player and keyboarder Warren Ham, who already performed with the likes of Cher. Australian guitarist and singer Colin Hay of Australian band Men at Work, who also joins Ringo Starr on his tours, said that only a legendary musician such as Starr could have brought together an All Star band such as this.
His colleagues, and Ringo's fans, are in agreement that he is one of the world's greatest drummers.
"Peace, Love and Rock’n Roll" is the mantra for Ringo Starr's tour across Europe and Luxembourg's biggest stage has not been snubbed. On 4 July, Ringo and his All Starrs will be gracing the Rockhal stage.
& & &

Joan Baez surprised Ringo and stay on stage about 1 minute.
Folk singer Joan Baez unexpectedly showed up on stage during Ringo Starr's opening concert for his European tour, at the Olympia in Paris yesterday. Her appearance seemed to be a surprise for Ringo as well, and when Baez gave the singing drummer a hug, he forgot to sing his lines.
Currently out on her own "Fare Thee Well tour", Joan Baez is currently playing a string of concerts at the Olympia, from June 4 to June 17, but last night was her day off.

GEOFF EMERICK
Geoffrey E. Emerick (5 December 1945 – 2 October 2018)
was an English audio engineer who worked with The Beatles on their albums Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) and Abbey Road (1969).Producer George Martin credited him with bringing "a new kind of mind to the recordings, always suggesting sonic ideas, different kinds of reverb, what we could do with the voices".
Following the Beatles' break-up in 1970, Emerick continued to work with McCartney.[5] He served as recording engineer on McCartney albums such as Band on the Run (1973), which netted Emerick another Grammy,[14] London Town (1978), Tug of War (1982) and Flaming Pie (1997)
Emerick died from a heart attack on 2 October 2018, aged 72.
RINGO STARR => "I am so sorry and shocked to hear about Geoff Emerick. He was a great engineer, very helpful to all of us in the studio. With him and George Martin they helped us to step up on Revolver. He will be missed. Barbara and I send peace and our love to his family. Peace & love, Ringo xxx"
PAUL McCARTNEY => "Woke up this morning to the sad news of Geoff Emerick's passing. He was a great engineer and friend, and even though The Beatles had many great engineers over the years Geoff was the ONE. He was smart, fun-loving and the genius behind many of the great sounds on our records. I worked with him after The Beatles and it was always fun and the sounds he managed to conjure up were always special. Having seen him earlier this year when he came round to our studio I'm shocked and saddened to have lost such a special friend. God bless you Geoffrey - love Paul. x "
