Siemens Schatulle M57
Groeten,
David.

Siemens schatulle m57
This is one of the most typical Siemens radios build in the 50ties.
When the doors are closed the dial lamps are out, this was necessary to prevent the radio of overheating.
The left door put out the “magic eye” tube EM80 and the right door put out the dial lamps.
The transparent wheel in the middle of the radio is the on/of switch (pull down) and also the volume control (scroll).
This radio has a magnificent sound, very powerful using 2 EL84 in the output power.
Regards,
David.

Siemens shatulle P48 biggest table top radio ever made!

This is the biggest table top radio ever made (for so far I know).
It’s the masterpiece of any collection of German radios.
It’s a Siemens Schatulle P48 made between 1954 and 55.
This radio is a SoundBlaster, 4 big alnico speakers are doing the big job!
There is a ECC83 for each EL84 tube!
No less than 14 tubes!!!
This radio was the most expensive radio of his time, you have to pay 795 DM (German Marks = 1500 euro or 1890 USD).
This is the top of all radios, I hear a lot of radios during all this time of collecting but this is just amazing, you can feel the volume go thru your cloths…
Its just a wonderful radio, I’m so glad I finely have one in my collection.
This radio is also very heavy he weights about 30 Kg!
The sizes are 80 cm wide, 44 cm high and 33 cm depth so he is much bigger than the M57!
Tubes:
EZ80, EZ80, EC92, ECC81, ECH81, EF89, EF89, EL84, EL84, ECC83, ECC83, EB91, EBF80, EM80.

Ambrosia Cristal radio 1927

Is as zondag een mogelijkheid?
Vriendelijke groeten,
