I first came to the Estoril Coast when I was 23 years old, as an exchange student. As I came to the Casino Gardens on the Marginal road, and looked out towards the sea - the view just took my breath away. Twenty-two years later it still does. The whole region ha a special light and smell - the sweet aroma of the sea breeze. Twenty three years ago I took the decision to live here. I travel a lot in my work but every time I return it is still the most fantastic,sensual experience. But even people who have lived here all their lives are still taken aback by how beautiful the region really can look. A morning coffee on the coast in the hotel Albatroz practically being sprayed by the waves, an evening walk down to the seafront is another treat. To revive my spirits I lik to visit the splendid restaurants dotted along the coastal area and lapped by the Atlantic Ocean or the cascais gardens, or to have dinner in a restaurant overlooking the Ocean and the endless coastline bathed in moonlight. Cascais still has so many wonderful old-fashioned shops. Then of course, there is the more than famous Estoril Casino where James Bond was born and on which Casino Royale was based, the Estoril gardens, Cascais town where you can find something for everyone from the most discerning business traveller to the family with smal children to entertain. then for utmost is sheer luxury, one should take tea at the Hotel Estoril Palace the icon of the region. The fabulous flavours of home cooking are found in the glass fronted restaurant in Estoril, the Costa do Estoril, or de Costa da Guia area.It is a privilege to work here and sell this destination internationality. But it is a greater pleasure to have a family here and watch your children grown and glow under nurturing sun, friendly environments and enveloping beautiful nature preserved by those are feel honoured in living here.The citizens of this region love to share their historical, traditional and cultural secrets. Perhaps therein lies the reason for its perfection !
