En eindelijk nog iets.. El Cid .. 54 mm terug.. Ik heb hem altijd goed geschilderd gevonden maar toch heeft hij echt nooit bijval gehad. Het was de eerste keer dat ik mijn geel schilderde en ik er blij mee was, mooi, warm .. de schaduwen en lichten zijn goed gelukt maar de huidige normen vragen wel meer extremen, ik hou er niet van maar als je een kans wilt in de huidige wedstrijden moet je die richting uit gaan dus tracht ik een balans te vinden dat voor allebei aanvaardbaar is. De mantel kon wet meer opgebouwd worden van zéér donker naar licht dus dat is iets waar ik nu tracht op te letten. Wel je kan er zelf je mening van vormen want de foto staat er bij..
- And finally a new entry a 2.12 inch again.. El Cid.. I always thought of it as well painted but somehow he never really was appreciated. It was the first time that I really liked the way the yellow was painted, its not a easy color to paint at all in figurines.. its a lovely warm shade and shadows and highlights are good but nows-days more extremes are called for at contests so if you really want to make a small chance to get a medal one has to go in this direction so I try to find a balance of what I still like and what the contest norms call for. Maybe the cape could have been more from a deeper shade to the lighter at the top .. that is something I try to take notice about. Well you can see for your own as a picture is here for you to view.
