Cliff Richard
De huidige "sir" Cliff Richard was twee keer op het songfestival, maar hij kon de overwinning niet behalen...In 1968 werd zijn "Congratulations" tweede, in 1973 werd Cliff's "Power to our friends" dan derde.
Cliff had het tweemaal moeten afleggen tegen España : in 1968 was Masiel eerste met het veelzeggende "La la la" en in 1973 eindigde Mocedades op plaats twee met "Eres tù". Alleen Anne Marie David haalde toen de grootste onderscheiding met "Tu te reconnaitra".
