Dutch people in Wallonië, les hollandais en Wallonie
akke.beakke.be
It's a joy to share the beautiful things of life. As a dutch person I will make mistakes, but it's worth trying.

Evening-miracle. Miracle du soir.

The sky is every time new, never the same. Picture is modified a little bit.

Visit of our grandson. La visite de notre petit-fils.

Our grandson of five is able to use the computer, look up the games and change game and level. I feel myself as a grandma a neanderthaler. But tying his shoes is for him quite difficult and asks his granddad to do that for him. Lately he has grown that much that he is able to look down on the shiny skin of his head. He touches his head with one finger and says "Hé, granddad, I see your cranium!".

Talking about trees. Parlons des arbres.

In Holland trees have a lot of value. You need permission to cut down one. Here in Wallonië they don't see it that way. We saw the horses eat all the bast of the trees. This picture is of last year. Now all the trees are dead.

Meeting with a deer. Rendez-vous avec un cerf.

It was the first time that I saw one of the neighour's deer that close. It was already night-time and he was still there when I picked up my camera. I took a picture not knowing if he was on it, because it was very dark.

Little lane towards the church. Petite allée vers l'église.

There was a rainbow, so quickly we left with the car. This lane towards the tiny church of Havré is one of my favourite places to make pictures.

Finally spring. Enfin le printemps.

This winter we have had it very cold. Last year, we were sitting in february outside in the sun. But the farmer is now very busy and we hear the constant noise of his tractor.

Poles and trees. Des poteaux et des arbres.

Across our house the land of our neighbour. He keeps a lot of deer, which you see walking from the street-side.

Our street during wintertime. Notre rue pendant l'hiver.

On the right side the entrance of the former gunpowder-factory. Lateron it became a rooftiles-factory. Today artists, 2nd-hand cardealers and carpenters are renting parts of the building. At the end of the street you see our house.
