Life in Mons, la vie en Mons (Belgium)
Crystallized roses. Des roses cristalliséés.
Picking poppies. Ceuillir des coquelicots.

Such a beautiful field you don't see daily. On the background the coalheaps, now covered with trees and plants.
On ne voit pas chaque jour une prairie si belle. Dans le fond les montagnes de charbon, couvertes des arbres et des plantes.
Climbing trees. Grimper les arbres.
No, it is not the jungle, where we let our grandchildren run around, but it is the parc, the Wauxhall, in Mons.
Visit to the castle of Havré. Une visite au chateau d'Havré.
Too bad, the gate is closed. Grandma, what shall we do now?
Bright light. L'éclat du soleil.
After half an hour it looks like summer. But in the shadow everything is still covered with ice.
The fog disappears. Le brouillard disparaît.

It's a special experience to see how the light is changing.
C'est une expérience spéciale de voir comment la lumière change.
Fog and sun. Brouillard et soleil.
For a long time the sun could not penetrate the fog. Everything was dark-white and was covered with ripe.
Hello, who are you? Bonjour, qui es-tu?
I saw this little animal looking from behind the stam. I didn't know what it was but made right away a picture of it. It could have walked out of a dutch book about an insects fairy-tale. From this day on I walked around in my garden looking for other insects. Do you know what it is when you see only this little bit of it?
Great-grandmother is coming to visit. Arrière-grandmère vient visiter;
She is still interested in everybody, although the difference with "how it was" is getting bigger.
Tulip after the rain. La tulipe après la pluie.Too bad that tulips don't multiply like daffodils.
Dommage que les tulipes ne se multiplient pas comme les narcisses.
