Camel Valley Vineyard

Innisfail- 100 km zuid van Cairns- is vooral gekend voor zijn suikerrietvelden.
De bevolking - ongeveer 9000 - bestaat voornamelijk uit Italiaanse immigranten.
In de jaren 1930's bestond er zelfs een lokale ' maffia ' de zogeheten " Black Hand ".

de fameuze railway Beaufort- Tenom...
" the only rail system in East Malaysia ( Sabah )  runs from KK south to Beaufort then climbs the escarpment of the steep Crocker Range to Tenom, a total distance of 154 km.
The best part is between beaufort and Tenom, where the narrow track follows the Sungai Padas, past spectacular gorges and over wooden bridges through steaming jungle that in places forms a bower overhead....
the ordinary diesel trainsare the ones to take if you want a slower, more colourful journey, packed with the local  people and their produce.
The railcar is basically an overgrown minibus with just 13 seats ...
