A very important MEP visited yestoday a FLY-IN of HISTORICAL AIRPLANE acompagniet by a
Expert of a NATIONAL CAA

Afterwarts whe had a very long and intresting conversation in witch I was abel to inform hem thad

there is a urgent need to develop the required EU enviroment to protect the HISTORICAL

AVIATION ENVIROMENT

The advise of the NATIONAL EXPERT was very negative since he is promoting thad al the

HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT schould be made avaible in a MUSEUM in a NON FLYING

STATUS

I have strongly contested this vieuw I accept thad there schould be financial means avaible to place a

number of AIRCRAFT in the MUSEA

BUT there is urgent need to create the REGULATION to make it possible for SME,NPO or
 
INDIVIDUAL PERSONS to keep HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT avaible in FLYING STATUS

The EXPERT claim there are to many accidents with this old fashion aircraft but could not suply any

concrete figures of the number of accidents in relation to the number of historical aircraft operating in

 the 27 EU memberstates

CONCLUSION:

 IF    REELECTED   ????? the MEP is going to propose the STOA to make a STUDY on the activity of the HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT in the 27 EU memberstates

VISITING the USA, CANADA and AUSTRALIA to colect aditional information

He wil keep regular contacts on a personnel level

I receive a lot of possitive news from the USA, CANADA and AUSTRALIA on the conservation of
the HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT in FLYING CONDITION by NPO and INDIVIDUAL

OWNERS


 HOWEVER ???

 At the EU level via the EASA REGULATION 216/2008 from 19.3.2008 do I receive from various
EU-MEMBERSTATES some very ALARMING messages on a number of problems withe the

aplication of this regulation by their NATIONAL CAA

ontmoetejngen met veel oude bekenden en ook enkele senioren.

Nu even op de PC alvorens voor een lekker etentje te gaan.

Ongevallen in de LUCHTSPORTEN

  Heden tijdens de eerste dagen met gunstig vliegweer worden we weer opgeschrikt door enkele fatale LUCHTVAART ONGEVALLEN

 LOKEREN ZATERDAG 02 MEI2009 omstreeks 1630 verongelukte een ULM met het overlijden van de enige inzittende PILOOT.

 TEMPLOUX ZATERDAG 09 MEI 2009 omstreeks 1700 verongelukte een ZWEEFVLIEGTUIG op de E 42 richting LUJK met een dodelijk slachtoffer  de enigste inzittende de PILOOT

 Dit is een elk jaar terugkerende verschijnsel dat we na een minder aktieve winterperiode een aantal LUCHTVAART ONGEVALLEN hebben.

 Zoals voor elke menselijke aktiviteit stellen we vast dat na een periode van beperkte of geen aktiviteit een aantal ongevallen plaats vinden., meestal met als oorzaak de beperkte vliegervaring na de winter.

 Wij bieden onze deelneming aan bij de familie van de slachtoffers

I believe now thad I have reacted to ALL the outstanding E-MAILS

If YOU have not received a reaction from my sight on YOUR E-MAIL pleas transmùit it again because it must have disapaered without me noticing it ....?????

The DRAFT AFIS has been evaluated by the APSG today and I have the feeling thad it will be proposed to the next ANT for approval.

 I sugest strongly the IAOPA-EUR ,EAS and EBAA to aproche the NATIONAL ANT members in vieuw to aprove this draft for a aplication in to the 37 EUROCONTROL members or at least in the 27 EU members.

I ame aware thad some states feel thad the already have a very good aplication in their country but for the need of SAFETY and STANDARISATION their is a urgent need to have a HARMONISED AFIS MANUEL in line with the ICAO documentation

During the personel contacts was I informed thad now a cluster of important EU Memberstates are
 
insiating the required  adaption of their NATIONAL REQUIREMENT  on the procedure to
 
abolisch the requirement to have a ICAO FLIGHT PLAN for

crossing borders  between a number of EU-MEMBERSTATES
