Jeudi 11 juin, Lorenzo Sistino, directeur de Fiat Automobiles et Fiat Professionnal, était en Suède pour remettre lui-même les clés dun Fiorino 1.3 Multijet à boite robotisée Comfort-Matic au directeur de poste suédoise, Andreas Falkenmark. Il faut dire que ce Fiorino est le premier dune longue lignée. Posten a en effet commandé pas moins de 3000 exemplaires de « lutilitaire de lannée 2009 » pour son parc automobile.

Avec 30 000 employés, Posten est lune des entreprises les plus importantes de Suède. Cette commande va donc assurer une belle visibilité à Fiat. Chaque jour, les 3000 Fiorino arpenteront les rues et routes du pays dans leur livrée jaune, la couleur de Posten. Mais cette teinte nest pas la seule particularité de ces Fiorino. Afin de faciliter et sécuriser le travail des postiers, la conduite est à droite. A lintérieur, laménagement est évidemment adapté avec par exemple des éclairages à LEDS et des rangements spécifiques.

Ce nest pas un hasard si le Fiorino a été retenu par la poste suédoise. Petit, compact, il nen est pas moins pratique avec un volume important à lintérieur. Son moteur de 75 ch lui permet de parcourir 1000 kms avec un plein. Enfin, ses consommations réduites et ses faibles émissions de CO2, 116 g/km, le plus faible taux du segment, ont finis de convaincre Posten, dans un pays particulièrement sensible à lenvironnement

BSM and Italian car giant Fiat have today announced their partnership which will see Fiat as the new fleet provider for BSM (the British School of Motoring), the UKs most popular driving school. Fiat will provide BSM with 14,000 cars over the next four years, with most of them set to be the award-winning Fiat 500 Car of the Year 2008 along with the popular Grande Punto model.

The fleet vehicle is the biggest depiction of the BSM brand, and the introduction of the stylish Fiat 500 design is intended to appeal to new learners. BSM will start to take delivery of the new fleet this summer and complete the exchange of all fleet by the end of the year.

BSM is the UKs leading driving school, with around 3,000 driving instructors teaching more than 130,000 learners to drive each year. BSM is one of the most recognised British brands with nearly 100 years of history and a market share of approximately 10 per cent. BSM is also one of the largest providers of instructor training and carry out driver training for companies as well as the public and governmental sectors. BSM has been teaching people to drive since 1910 and is fully committed to helping people become better safer drivers, not just training them to pass their test. The company taught the Queen to drive and helped design and implement the modern driving test. The agreement will make the Fiat 500 even more visible on Britains roads and help Fiat with its plan to target the 500 at the key young drivers market.

BSM is confident that the change of car will give new drivers a superior learning experience, with features including: manoeuvrability the Fiat 500, with a length of just 3.5 metres and a turning circle of 9.2 metres, is easy to drive and offers exceptional manoeuvrability; safety the Fiat 500 has more safety features than any other small car and achieved five stars in the tough Euro NCAP crash test programme; environment the Fiat 500 engine meets the toughest Euro 5 exhaust emissions standards and has improved fuel efficiency when compared with BSMs previous fleet. The 500s 1.2-litre 69 bhp engines returns 55.4 mpg on the combined cycle and emits just 119 g/km CO2. The model is also available with eco:Drive which analyses driving styles and helps drivers use less fuel; and visibility the Fiat 500 model also offers greater visibility than the previous fleet, with a smaller dashboard and larger wing mirrors.

The new partnership will include a special offer for learner drivers wishing to purchase a Fiat once they have passed their test. The car manufacturer is offering an exclusive £500 discount on all new Fiat models to BSM learners, making the range even more accessible and economical for new drivers.

13.10.2009 FIORINO AND DOBLÒ CARGO FOR LEADING UK ENERGY FIRM IN POWERFUL NEW FLEET DEAL

FIAT FIORINO AND DOBLO SCOTTISH SOUTHERN ENERGY

More than 350 new Fiat commercial vehicles are being delivered to a leading UK power supplier in a deal that highlights the vans efficiency and low ownership costs. Scottish Southern Energy (SSE) will take 273 Fiat Fiorino 1.3 MultiJet SX and 79 Fiat Doblò Cargo 1.3 MultiJet SX vans over the next three months for use by the firms metering division.

The new vans are being made available from Fiat Professional, Fiat UKs commercial vehicle division, through a five-year, fully maintained contract hire deal funded by Lex Autolease, and have been specially prepared for this particular activity. All the vehicles will have a newly-designed bespoke racking system, while the Fiorinos come with passenger airbag, larger 15-inch wheels, Michelin energy saving tyres, parking sensors and panelled bulkheads. The Doblò Cargos are equipped with panelled bulkheads and parking sensors as standard. A small number of the vans for use in central London will also feature Fiats Comfort Matic semi-automatic gearbox. And in addition to the solid blue colour, all vans will be half-wrapped in SSE logos.

The vehicles were chosen for their superior engine technology and adaptability, says Colin Parnell, regional corporate sales manager, Fiat Group Fleet. We were able to offer excellent load space with side door access, class-leading CO2 figures and even an ECU speed limiter set to 69mph for duty of care. We are delighted to have won this deal.

The Fiorinos portray a fresh new identity for SSE, says Grahame Neagus, head of Lex Autolease specialist commercial vehicle unit. And that, coupled with the vehicles comfort, practicality and functionality, made them an obvious choice for this contract. One objective was to lower CO2 levels across the SSE fleet and this deal with Fiat Professional will help to achieve that.

The Fiat Fiorino range starts at £8,905 plus VAT for the Cargo 1.4 8-valve Petrol 75 (from 119g/km CO2), while the Doblò Cargo range (from 139g/km CO2) opens with the 1.4 MPI 8-valve Petrol at £10,335 plus VAT.
