Dreaming...

Mijn echtgenoot heeft een droom...
en in de hoop dat deze zich ooit verwezenlijkt heeft
hij vorige maand zijn algemeen vaarbrevet behaald.
Dat vroeg om enkele degelijke zeemanstruien.

My husband has a dream...
and in order to realise this dream he obtained his
boatmasters'certificate last month.
I could NOT omit knitting him a couple of hard-wearing
and warm sailing sweaters...

Knit in the round, completely seamless and in body
proportions. F.ex. for the sleeves 1/5 th of the
body stitches are casted on and increased to 1/3rd
of these stitches.
It's just perfect. Will knit this again.

Dit model wordt volledig op maat gebreid zonder naden
 en met lichaamsverhoudigen. Zo worden voor de mouwen
 bv. 1/5 van de lichaamssteken opgezet en gemeerderd tot
 1/3 van de steken.
De pasvorm is gewoonweg perfect.





I have knitted in the round up to the underarms on a Brother knitting machine.
From that point on I have knitted by hand on double pointed needles.
You can see no difference. I allways try to enter the right needle size.
It's evident,but I trust my feeling and never look at the needle size
mentioned on the band.
