These adorable little creatures are native to Australia and one of the most popular exotic pets. Sugar Gliders have a gliding membrane, similar to those of Flying Squirrels, and are able to glide through the air. In the wild, they live in colonies of ten to fifteen gliders. These animals weigh about six ounces and live for about fifteen years, on average. The benefits of having sugar gliders include the love they can offer, their intelligence, long life - with proper care - great companionship, and their loyalty.
