Ik breng Pinot in herinnering.
Weten jullie nog, ze had kanker...
Do you remember Pinot?
She had cancer...
Ze is deze week bevallen van 4 dode, misvormde kittens.
Gezien we niet wisten dat ze zwanger was (we gaven de pil)
hebben we ze in begin van haar zwangerschap ontwormd,
wat nefast was voor de kittens. De bevalling duurde 5 uur...
She gave birth to 4 dead, deformed kittens.
As we didn't know at the start she was pregnant (we gave
anticonception) we gave an anti-worm remedy in her early
pregnancy. The birth took 5 hours...

Opnieuw gekocht!
Terwijl ik er in gedachten steeds naar streef mijn voorraad af te bouwen,
heb ik het toch opnieuw gekocht. Wie kan er nu weerstaan aan deze prachtige
bobijn (30 euro voor 500 gr, 100% zijde) en deze Kid-Mohairwol voor een sjaaltje.

Gecrocheerd vestje
Ik was al enige tijd verliefd op dit gecrocheerd vestje van Phildar.
Deze foto's zijn van DutchJacky (Ravelry) en ik hoop dat mijn vesteje
evengoed mag lukken.
Ik heb niet veel ervaring met haken maar doe hier toch opnieuw een poging.
Het is een makkelijk werke dat ik kan meenemen naar het ziekbed van onze oma,
die momenteel in het ziekenhuis ligt met een gebroken heup...

Gauge: 4.5 sts = 2″ on US 13 in seed stitch
CO 20 sts. Slip the first stitch of every row purlwise and knit the last st of every row to create selvedge edge.
RW 1: Sl 1, p1, k4, p1, est seed st pattern - k,p,k,p x 6 sts, then p1, k4, p1, k1.
RW 2: Sl 1, k1, p4, k1, seed st x 6 sts, k1, p4, k2.
RW 3: as RW 1
RW 4: as RW 2
RW 5: Sl 1, p1, c4b, p1, 6 seed sts, p1, c4f, p1, k1.

Work RWS 1-6 until piece measures approx 23″, or until 13 cables have been worked. Finish with RW 6. Work 4 rws in all seed st, starting with sl1, k1, p1….
Next row (RS buttonholes) - Sl 1, k1, p1, BO next 2 sts, *p1, k1, p1, BO next 2 sts, rep from * once more ending with p1, k1.

CROWN SHAPING:
Round 1: *Right slant decrease, k18, ssk, rep from *, ending with ssk.
Round 2: knit
Continue dec with these 2 rounds, knitting 2 less sts in between the decreases. k16, k14, k12, and so on. Remember to knit an even round in between dec rounds.
When there are 2 sts rem on each dpn, cut the yarn, leaving a 12” tail. Weave through remaining sts, weave in ends.

De bolero wordt gebreid met dubbele draad.
Ik weet dat er soms verschil kan zijn in het aantal meters,
maar dit lijkt me wel heel veel. Ik denk dat ikde gebreide
stukken maar eens ga wegen.
Maar: het garen is prachtig.
The shrug is knit with a dubble strand of yarn.
I know there can be some difference between one skeen
or another but this seems a lot to. I think I am gonna
check the weight.....
But: the yarn is gorgeous.

Heel snel even een fotootje van Peace op het net zetten...
Mooi gelukt! De juiste kleur komt niet altijd tot uiting. Dit is een simpel donkerblauw gilet uit een cashmere/wol mengeling die zich prima liet verwerken.
I love Peace and I am sure a will make me another one! Thanks Glassqueen for letting me use your picture. It isn't always simpel to project the right color. It's a simple blue cardigan in a cashmere/wool blend. It was fun working with it.

Deze trui wordt op een rondbreinaald van boven naar onder gebreid. Geen naden dus en ook geen naaiwerk. De trui is zo klaar. 100 % handgeverfde merino wol. Super zacht.

Op bovenstaande foto is de kleur het meest correct.
De kleur is hier iets te licht, maar ja, jullie weten
waarschijnlijk wel hoe moeilijk rood fotografeert.
De foto hier net onder is het meest benaderend.

on the first one.
De mouwen zijn licht uitlopend naar beneden toe.
Ik heb de mouwen iets verlengd.
The sleeves are slightly bishop and I lengthened them up a bit.
