After a hard and very warm day, we had trouble finding a place to stay even in a relatively large town. It seems that September had been a record month for pelgrims. We expected as mentioned earlier to have no problems once in Spain, but we are going to have to change our strategy.
The riding in Spain is also much more difficult. There is the ever present heat but more important the constant climbing. We are meeting at least two very difficult hills each day and we do not see this easing up in the near future.
On our Camino we came upon a church from the middle ages. The tradition says that a pelgrim has tomwalk around this church 3 times in his socks. This is better than the best foot massage.
Sometimes the walking and cycling trail cross each other. We see that this is the real Camino, quite and far away from urbanisation.
Often we come upon stone bridges which have been used by pelgrims for centuries.
