Het oceanarium van Lissabon is een groot aquarium in het oosten van de stad, in het Parque das Nações. Het is een van de grootste aquariums van Europa. Het ligt op een pier in de rivier Taag.

The Lisbon oceanarium is a large aquarium in the east of Lissabon, in the Parque das Nações. It is one of the largest aquariums in Europe. It is located on a pier in the river Tagus.

Een half jaar geleden, namen we de super snelle ferry van Denia naar Ibiza. Vaartijd 2h.i.pl.v. 4,5h. vroeger. Over 25 jaar waren we hier ook, maar wat je nu ziet op de promenade en de winkelstraten is echt decadent. Het is niet discriminerend bedoeld, maar om te laten weten en te tonen wat de ouders niet weten, en zeker dat die ouders geen flauw benul hebben, hoe hun kinderen zich kleden in Ibiza.

Hace seis meses, tomamos el super fast ferry from Denia a Ibiza. Tiempo 2 oras de nave, en lugar de 4,5 oras lo que solia ser. En 25 años estabamos aque tambien, pero lo que ves ahora en el paseo maritimo y las calles commerciales es realmente decadente. No es discrimintario, sino para dejarle y mostrar lo que los padres probablemente no saben y seguro que los padres no tienen idea, como sus hijos vestir en Ibiza.

Half a year ago, we took the superfast ferry from Denia to Ibiza Ship time 2 hours in stead of 4,5 ours, it used to be.   25 years ago we were here too, but what you see now on the promenade and the shopping streets is really decadent. It is not discriminatory, but to let know and show what the parents probably do not know, and sure the parents have no clue, how their children dress in Ibiza

Op 17.04 vieren de Ieren St Patricks Day. In Cabo Roig, waar wij verblijven, gaat jaarlijks de traditionele optocht door. Deze is de grootste van Spanje.

At 17.04 the Irish celebrate St.Patricks Day. In Cabo Roig, where we stay, the annuel traditional parade goes on. This is the largest in Spain.

So many people from all over the world having a great time. There were barbecues, brass bands and singers and enough drinks for everone. The very best of what living in Spain means to so many people.

Valencia is de derde grootste stad van Spanje, ligt aan de Costa del Azahar en aan de rivier Turia. De stad werd gesticht in het jaar 138 voor Christus door de Romeinen en geldt als geboorteplaats van de paella. Ze werd ook wel sinaasappelstad genoemd.

Alicante is de hoofdstad van de gelijknamige provincie, ligt aan de Costa Brava. De " Santisima Trinidad " was gebouwd in 1769 op de scheepswerf van Havanna - Cuba. Het was een enorm schip ; 63 meter lang, 17 meter breed en 8 meter hoog. Het had 140 kanonnen en een bemanning van 1160man. Het kreeg een tragisch einde in 1805 tijdens de slag bij Trafalgar, en zonk 25 mijl ten zuiden van Cadiz. In Alicante hebben we een exacte replica van dit schip bezocht.

In Alicante we have visited the genuine accurate replica of this ship.

Sin embargo, el barco es sobre todo recordado por su tragico final en la batalla de Trafalgar, el barco se hundio a 25 millas al sur de Cadiz en 1805. Nos hemos visitado la unica replica del barco en Alicante.

Tabarca is een klein eiland dat zich voor de Spaanse kust bevindt en op enkele kilometers van Santa Pola. Het is 1800 meter lang en maximum 400 meter breed. Het heeft 32 inwoners, tijdens het zomerseizoen werken er 400 mensen.

De stad werd tussen 830 en 840 gesticht aan de rivier Segura, door de Moren. Ze ligt in het zuidoosten van Spanje en heeft ong.450.000 inwoners, daarmee is het de zevende stad van Spanje.

The city was founded between 830 and 840 on the Segura river, by the Moors. It is located in the southeast of Spain and has about 450.000 inhabitants, it is the seventh city of Spain.

La ciudad fue fundada entre 830 y 840 en el rio Segura, por los Moros, en el sureste de Espana y cuenta con unos 450.000 habitants, es la septima ciudad de Espana.

Omstreeks de tiende eeuw bouwden de Arabieren de stad op de huidige plaats en omgaven deze met palmbomen. Meer dan 300.000 palmbomen geven Elche een exotische sfeer. De bomen mogen niet worden omgehakt en worden door Unesco tot Werelderfgoed verklaard.

Around the tenth century, the town was build on the present site, surrounding it with palm trees. More than 300.000 palm trees give Elche an exotic atmosphere. The trees should not be felled an declared biy Unesco as World Heritage Site.

Alrededor de siglo 10, los arabes construyeron la ciudad en la poblacion actual, y rodearon con palmeras. Mas de 300.000 palmeros en Elche dan un ambiente exotico. Las palmeras no deben ser cortados y declarados por la Unesco como Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Eén van de oudste steden van Spanje. De stad is inde derde eeuw voor Christus gesticht door Hasdrubal, een legeraanvoeder uit Carthago. De stad werd Quart Ehadast ( nieuwe stad ) genoemd. Onder de Romeinen werd het Carthago Nova. Hiervan is de naam Cartagena afgeleid.
